Booked in for my birthday for one night. I was having my hair & nails done at 12:15 So we didn’t get to Oasis until 3:15. As we were late and it was quiet, the lovely French lady (sorry I don’t recall your name) said we could use the facilities/room for the following day.
We settled in, had a couple of drinks and tapas and sat watching the sun go down . The sea view is amazing. As it chilled, we’ll it is early March, we moved inside. The decor is great and I get an Ibiza chill ambience with a hint of Morocco. Tortilla was brought round later in the evening with some bread - not needed after dinner but gorgeous.
The morning toastada, coffee & fresh orange was gorgeous. We played tennis, with an amazing backdrop of the Bólnuevo erosions- borrowing rackets as opposed to taking our own (which were in decent condition). Had a fabulous game then went back to the apartment to chill and finish the remaining red wine from the previous evening.
The sun was out. We read, did crosswords, practiced a little more Spanish, chatted to our French neighbours and intended to play table tennis. Alas the day and venue was all too relaxing.
Eventually we ate tapas once more before the walk home to El Alamillo.
We will definitely return and will recommend to friends. We didn’t make use of all the equipment for self catering as we stayed for only one night but there seemed to be lots eg kettle, toaster.
Next time I’d definitely take coffee, milk & water - big fail as I love a coffee in...
Read moreFood was lovely and all freshly cooked. Of the 4 of us 3 chose the salad starter whilst I chose the garlic/chilli prawns which were superb. I should mention that when the others ordered 3x salads the waiter explained that the salad was generous and he suggested they just order one salad between the 3 of them and he was right! How good was he?? A special mention to the Paella (which my wife and I chose as they only do it for a minimum of 2 people) we chose the pork one, the other was seafood and it was outstanding! The pork was lovely and tender, the corgette and other veggies were perfectly cooked and the flavour of the rice was to die for! Plenty to choose from, from the desert menu and as expected it was all very tasty. If you want a drink that is different but very refreshing then I highly recommed the "iced coffee" sounds a bit weird but if you like the taste of coffee you'll love this. The staff are attentive and very professional and made us feel at home and comfortable. This isn't a "cheap" restaurant but it isn't mega expensive either. Between 4 of us we had 12 drinks 2 starters 4 mains and 4 deserts and it came to €96 without...
Read moreThis review is for the cafe/tapas bar only. The view over the beach and sea are really lovely. But that is where the positives end. Firstly you are paying for this view, as is reflected in the prices. A simple burger and chips costs 6.50€. When our burgers arrived the chips were warm, not hot. There were no knives or forks, nor any napkins. Looking around there were only 8 other clients in the establishment. Not exactly busy. When we went to pay, one of the staff was sitting right by the serving/pay hatch smoking a cigarette. Not an acceptable place to sit. When we checked our receipt we found we had been overcharged. The price of these burgers came to 7.50€ each. When we questioned the member of staff she said sorry and after a little conversation with the smoker person, who tried to tell us that fish costs more than beef, we got the 2€ back. If we hadn't checked the receipt they would have made a nice little tip. If you decide to go there be prepared for bad service and over price food and drinks. Also check exactly what your bill should be and question it if you feel it...
