An Absolute Travesty – The Worst Curry House Ever!
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. From the second we walked in, it was clear that this so-called "restaurant" was going to be a disaster. The atmosphere was dull, the décor outdated, and the faint smell of burnt oil set the tone for what was about to be the worst meal I’ve ever had.
I ordered a jalfrezi, expecting a fiery, rich, and flavourful dish. What I got instead was a bland, onion-based slop with absolutely zero chillies. That’s right—not a single shred of spice, just a watery, tasteless mess with tough, chewy meat that had clearly been reheated to oblivion. It was more like a sad, failed pasta sauce than an actual curry.
The rice was equally appalling. Instead of the soft, fragrant, pillow-like basmati rice you'd expect from a decent curry house, we were served something that could only be described as tough, clumpy, and dry. It had all the charm of week-old microwaved leftovers.
And let’s talk about the drinks—because this place is clearly running a scam. Even the soft drinks were laughably overpriced. I half expected the tap water to come with a service charge.
By the time the bill arrived (after another painfully long wait), I was fuming. The only thing spicier than the food should have been the jalfrezi, but instead, it was the outrageous prices. Save yourself the money, the frustration, and the disappointment—avoid this place...

On the Card machine which I was presented with it gives you the choice to pay in Euros or Pounds. As soon as I told to Waiter that I wanted to pay in Euros he told me they would charge me an extra 3 %. THIS...
Read moreSpice villa is without doubt ( I have tried all the others) the best Indian restaurant in the area. In fact, possibly one of the best Indian restaurants I have visited. I regularly visit and the quality is consistent. Lamb is always tender. Service is always spot on. The staff are top notch. If you like a bit of heat, make sure you tell them when ordering as sometimes can be a bit milder than you might expect, but always great blend of spices and flavours nonetheless. 10/10 always. Oh, and the mango...
