Liaopastel — Restaurant in Mislata

So we happened upon this place by chance. I understand it’s a franchise but I’m happy. V nice and welcoming decor and satisfying buzz of customers, as it’s busy. Just had the real hot chocolate from the machine with 2 heated churro like doughnuts. V satisfying for €7 for both! We will come again as we are staying just around the corner. Seems to have a huge variety of teas and sweet things. What’s not to like?! We came again and I’m not v impressed by the service, so have deducted a star. Lack of friendliness and some confusion of the coffee I ordered was met with some disdain and her speaking to her colleague in Spanish which unfortunately I couldn’t understand. I ordered a mini fruit and cream pastry and a green power smoothie. Both were very good! The pastry cream wasn’t too sweet and the fruit was sweet. The pastry was soft and fresh. The smoothie had the perfect amount of pineapple to add sweetness to the kale, spinach, and cucumber mix. If you haven’t had your fiber and veggies this is definitely the smoothie for you at an affordable price compared to the prices...

El local es muy bonito, y como la mayoría de Liao pastel tienen muchas opciones y muy variadas. Todo con muy buena pinta. Tras haber probado Liao Manises me esperaba que la calidad estaría de la par, pero no. La tarta de zanahoria estaba reseca en los lados, como si hubiera sido descongelada desde hace días (solo el interior de la parte de la tarta estaba bien), la tarta nada del otro mundo. Me pedí un smoothie ya que según la carta se hacen al momento, no que no especifican es que es todo congelado, el green smoothie no estaba del todo mal pero casi todo era agua. Las chicas que sirven estaban hablando entre ellas de que ya no podían más y tenían ganas de que fueran las 8 para acabar ya delante mía y de otros clientes, y estaban más ocupadas haciéndose un café la una a la otra que en servir a los clientes. Una pena ya que en otros Liao pastel la calidad de las tartas y de las bebidas es mucho mayor (al menos las descongelan el día mismo). Al final acabé pagando 9,5€ por una tarta descongelada reseca a más no poder, un smoothie aguado y sentir que molestaba a las dos chicas...
