Restaurante the Swan — Restaurant in Muro

We were recommended the Swan by another couple staying at our hotel as we looked for a good place to watch premier league football and have a good bite to eat and drink. I must say the service and quality at the Swan was absolutely average. We were seated and drinks were ordered immediately, despite there being only approx 20 people in the bar on a Saturday evening we waited 15-20 minutes before being served drinks. When our drinks arrived we ordered food and 2 of our group ordered ribs that was not available at this time. The food arrived quickly and was average at best. It was hot, and you can tell it was freshly cooked but it lacked any distinguishing flavour or anything to tell it apart from the all inclusive grub we are used to at the hotels. The mixed grill I ordered was short the sausage, bacon and egg which they substituted with extra pork chops. All round this is a place to visit if you are looking for simple, plain food to fill a gap rather than satisfy...

I recently visited The Swan and I must say, it truly stands out as one of the best places in the area 🌟. The quality of the food and the care they put into every detail really impressed me. Their sandwiches and baguette are excellent fresh, well prepared, and full of flavor. Perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. Especially during these very hot days ☀️, everything they serve feels incredibly refreshing and enjoyable. I also had the chance to try their ice cream 🍦, which was delicious and generously topped with whipped cream 😋. It’s the perfect treat to cool down. And if you're a fan of milkshakes 🥤, theirs are definitely worth trying rich, creamy, and very flavorful. Overall, I highly recommend The Swan to anyone in the area or just passing by. We just spent 10 days in Plaja De Muro and had our evening meal in The Swan for 7 of those nights. The staff were fantastic and really made us feel welcome and at home. We really enjoyed all the food we had (steak, chicken curry, pizza, fish and chips, pork chops - not all in same night!). We tried a couple of the other restaurants nearby on other nights but they weren’t a patch on the Swan. Great value for money and would recommend to anyone. Thanks to Beatriz, Raul and the other staff who didn’t have their name on their T Shirts but were great too.
