I don't like to leave negative reviews, so I don't often bother, but in this case I felt I needed to. Dakoya Tex Mex was not busy at all when we arrived, with only three other tables occupied. My wife and daughter did not see the sign asking customers to "wait to be seated" and they passed it by six feet and started looking at where they might like to sit. In seeing this, one of the two male members of staff shouted at them from across the restaurant and told them to "go back and wait". No "please" or "would you mind", just an angry tone. I don't know if this small mistake by my wife and daughter gave this guy good reason to dislike us, but from them on in, this member of staff was very short with us and was in no way friendly. We ordered food and drinks, that I feel were overpriced, but I hoped would be worth it. When the drinks arrived, we were served Coke instead of the three Coke Zeros that we ordered, so I had to explain that two of our party are diabetic, so we wouldn't be able to drink them. They came back and swapped them for us, but it was all done with a huff and barely an apology for the mistake. The food arrived and I was disappointed at how bland the flavour of my burger was, and how cardboard like the chips were. For the price and the type of restaurant, I felt they should have been better. The restaurant wasn't busy and there were only two staff members waiting tables, but they always seemed to be busy doing anything but waiting our table and after a fifteen minute wait I had to ask for the bill a second time before we could pay and leave. The place is well decorated, and they have the whole American diner feel to the premises, but the lack of staff interaction, smiles and welcoming tone have put me off...
Read moreThe self proclaimed Home of Ribs stands out in Playa de Muro as an American style bar and grill on the main street across from the beach. It is well decorated with modern tables, chairs and classic Americana covers the walls of the restaurant. Think 'TGI Friday's in Majorca' for an idea of the decor and menu ptions available. We ordered pints of beer and frozen cocktails to drink which were freshly prepared and enjoyed by all. A short 15 minutes later we were served our food. Albeit a short wait but considering the food on order it was a reasonable time to wait. 4 orders of ribs, which could be accompanied by 3 sauces, 1 steak and 1 chicken skewer. All dishes came with complementary fries and slaw which helped keep the bill down. The ribs pulled apart from the bone effortlessly and were coated with a great tasting bbq sauce. The only downside was they lacked the flame grilled outer coating i had expected from the images on the menu. Experience has taught us whichever way you like your steak cooked you need to go 1 level higher in Spain. Tonight was no exception and it was served perfectly. The fries were well seasoned and tasted great. Overall a good, reasonably priced meal that satisfied all of...
Read moreI recently enjoyed a delicious yeasty cheeseburger with fries and jalapeños, and it was a fantastic meal!
The cheeseburger was the star of the show. The bun was soft and fluffy, with a lovely fresh smell. When I took a bite, the juicy beef patty was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The melted cheese added a creamy touch, and the toppings—crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and tangy pickles—made each bite even better.
The fries were a great side dish. They were golden and crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Just the right amount of salt made them super tasty, and I couldn't help but dip them in ketchup.
To spice things up, I added jalapeños. These peppers were fresh and had a nice kick, giving the meal some extra flavor that paired well with the cheeseburger.
Overall, this meal was a wonderful mix of flavors and textures. The yeasty cheeseburger, fries, and jalapeños came together perfectly, making it a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend it to anyone craving some tasty...
