Hnos.torres — Restaurant in Níjar

Seen a couple of poor reviews here and after visiting the place I am convinced that the reviewers who have given this place one star and a negative write up have confused it with somewhere else. Not only are the proprietors Lola and Juan some of the nicest people I have ever met the tapas I had was exceptionally good. I am in the food business myself and quite hard to please but the chicken in oil and potato tapas was superb. San Jose is OK but I was not considering coming back until I and my companions happened upon this understated and low key bar. I will now be back and next time will spend more of my time there. If your looking for a place where the staff speak faultless English then this is not the place for you but if your prepared to try and engage a bit in the culture and language then you need to get down to Hnos Torres. La mayor estafa que he tenido por ahora. deberían escribir los precios en las pizarras (ya que no tienen ni carta). Por ejemplo, en los pescados ponía 12. Yo suponía que eran 12 boquerones (por ejemplo) pero no, serán 4 o 5 por 12€. En las de carne no te viene ni el precio y en la mayoría te cobran 12€ o 15€. Las bebidas? 3€ como mínimo. Me pedí un botellin de agua y 3€ es un pasote (de por si 1€ me parecería mucho para la cantidad de agua que tenía). La comida no es nada del otro mundo. Los postres son caseros, si, pero 9€?! Ni en las mejores pastelerías. Lo único bueno a destacar es la amabilidad de la dueña, pero eso no quita todo lo negativo aparte. Lo elegimos porque era el menú más barato que encontramos y queríamos evitar locales demasiado turísticos, ya que este, tenia pinta de ser un bar local más campechano (familia del pueblo que atiende, la calle no está en primera línea de playa...)
