The service was impeccable; kind, thoughtful, friendly and quick. Our questions were answered well and the recommendations made were excellent. We arrived without making a reservation, but absolutely will reserve next time we are in the area to make sure of a table rather than rely on luck. This place should be packed for every meal! (But luckily for us there was availability when we walked in). It seemed like the kitchen was quite small, but very efficient and well run.

The food we ate was delicious. The entrecot croquettes were possibly the best croquettes I’ve ever eaten (and I’ve eaten a fair few!). We shared a starter of tomato tartar which was delicious - full of flavour and very moreish. Our kids had huevos con jamón y patatas and loved them, so something for everyone! We had entraña and canelóns for main courses and they were just about perfect in terms of flavour and size. I could have eaten more, but that’s just because they were so good and I’m greedy. I also didn’t need more! We weren’t planning on staying for dessert, but after such wonderful food it felt silly not to try what was on offer. The torrijas and tarte tatin were excellent, and the ice cream was amazing!

The menu wasn’t massive, but everything we tried was so good it didn’t need to have more on it.

Excellent service and food inside a cozy and homey environment. One of my favorite places to enjoy a quaint and beautiful dinner in the area. Un bon lloc a Arties. Tot i que no tenien taula lliure, com que només érem tres ens van fer un espai. El local és petit, acollidor i amb encant.

D’entrada ens van obsequiar amb unes olives grosses farcides i macerades amb ceba, tàperes i altres ingredients ben picadets. Després vam compartir unes mozzarelles amb pernil ibèric i tomàquet assecat, amb oli macerat per sobre. El producte era bo, encara que el pernil no m’hi acabava de casar: ja amb el tomàquet feia una combinació perfecta. Aquell timàquet era deliciós! El pernil me’l vaig menjar a banda, sol! Al pernil bo no li cal res mé! També vam provar una amanida russa, correcta.

De plats principals: uns ous ferrats amb patates fregides casolanes i una botifarra molt gustosa i magra; un magret d’ànec ben resolt; ; i un llom baix de vaca. En aquest últim cas, no és el tall que més m’agrada perquè té molta veta, però la peça era maca i ben presentada. I, per què no m’agafava una altra cosa? Doncs perquè em venia de gust la vedella i era l’únic tall que hi havia.
