As hungry pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago we were happy to find this restaurant offering a menu del día for a reasonable price. The quality and quantity of the food was good, however the service was appalling. Our waitor (Rafa) was exceptionally unfriendly and unhelpful. We ordered each a bottle of sparkling water which after sometime was with force slammed on the table, subsequently necessary for us to serve ourselves. You would usually expect glasses with ice...but no not here. Two of us ordered a Russian salad. One plate was brought to the table and our friendly waitor gestured without uttering a word that we should share it. It was a surprise to see on the table next a gentleman eating alone with a plate of Russian Salad all to himself. When I asked for the bill it took forever and it was clear this waitor preferred to serve other customers first. I don't usually see the need to make a complaint however on this occasion I did to the manager as we left. Imagine my surprise as we left the restaurant the waitor followed us down the hill to angrily confront me. Not a great dining experience and certainly not what I was expecting...
Read moreWe were in the refurbished pension next door who genuinely recommend it! Great seafood but had veal escalopes and fried potato cubes some wine and aqua con gas the first time. Discovered they had a weekend 2 course meal for 25 euros but chose the lightly grilled thick veal fillets served on a hot platter that continued to cook if you wish- didn’t last long enough! 20 euros so had cider and …cider. I am old but think you might end up spending 30-35 euros but...
