I had high hopes of Bar Amigos' para picar Friday-night menu and I wasn't disappointed. The dishes are a little bit different and make a welcome change from the standard tapas fare - yes, I know we are in Spain, but one cannot live on squid alone (not me, anyway...). The dishes are listed on a paper checklist, ranging from 1€ to 4€, and come to the table pretty much all at once. I have become somewhat used to meals served up with a side dish of indifference in some places, which is such a shame. That is certainly not the case at Bar Amigos where the owners and staff more than live up to the name above the door: super-friendly and extremely welcoming yet professional. They are also taking care of their customers by abiding by the current rules that must make running a bar much harder these days. Thank you, Amigos....
