Very disappointed !! The restaurant made me pay 200 euros by mistake with no compensation !
To start, during the meal, a cat was walking around the table and almost jumped on our table.
I am intolerant to lactose and gluten and asked for a "gluten and lactose free" menu (I called several days before with this request) When serving the dessert, they made an error and served me a lactose dessert like everybody else. One waiter figured out and changed it some minutes after but I started tasting it (I am just intolerant but it could be a very dangerous mistake specially from a Michelin restaurant)
Normally in Michelin restaurants, each time a dish is served, the waiter takes time to explain what are we eating (Degustation menu) . This did not occur. They just served and left, two times in a row. Hence I asked to bring a menu in order to follow our Degustation menu but they never brought it ... We had to call them many times during the evening (the restaurant was not full at all so no reason for taking so long)
The worse and most unbelievable part is that they made a mistake in the invoice and made me pay 200€ extra by error !! (charging Champagne that we never ordered). I found out after arriving at home ... I called them right away, the same day, they figured out they made this huge mistake and told me to come back the day after, at 4pm.
We had to come back the next day which killed precious time during our holidays... The lady who received us was not nice at all and sorry to say not emphatic at all. She did not want to give us a discount or anything. She was almost laughing at us when we said we were disappointed... !
We took the most expensive menu with several wines and paid way more than we should. We simply asked for a compensation that we did not have because the lady waiter had an awful behavior with us. Conclusion: We had to use our bank card to get back the wrong amount we paid the day before and then re-pay the correct amount with NO discount at all (I kept all the receipts of this sad story).
This is unacceptable ! This situation is not expected from a Michelin star. The bad behavior from the beginning to the end of this misadventure is not worthy of our respect. I know no one is perfect as all humans, but to be honest I don't think this is acceptable, specially from a Michelin star restaurant and furthermore from the female waiter’s disrespectful behavior. We are still very shocked and sad about it.
I am more than happy to be contacted by the restaurant management, instead of replying to this comment saying that I am not telling the truth, that will prove that Casa Pepa does not want to really solve this issue, and that this restaurant does not respect at all the customers that we are. Once again, I can of course provide the invoices reflecting the huge error from...
Read moreReturned after many years and it’s not the same Welcome: promptly received and seated and given menus Menu choices: there were 2 set menus one at 65€/pax and the other at 85€/pax and the Carte offered very few options in the main courses ie 3 choices for fish/ seafood and 3 choice for meat. The menu option requires all table customers to take the same menu Service: although very courteous and friendly, the actual service performance was definitely not customer-centered especially in terms of responsiveness to specific requests. Two example: apart from wine we asked for several bottles of still water and ice cubes. The iced cubes only came after 4 repeat requests to 3 different servers about half an hour later, and when asking for bread the response was”no not now this comes later”, a first I must say in my dining experience Taste and flavors: overall consensus at our table was that the nouvelle cuisine trend had been pushed beyond the primary enjoyment of the client and probably pleased more the elaborator in terms of sizes, combinations of textures and association of not so compatible flavors. Our conclusion was “off the list”, at least in the current declination of its...
