We have been here before, many years ago, but the entire Restaurant has had a very impressive make over. As soon as you walk through the door, you would expect a higher than average menu price. My Father was friends with the owners. He loved going to this restaurant. The now esquisit interior, with a Romanic / up to date theme, actually goes together really well. True attention to detail has been used to create a luxury feel and look. The food and speed of service is something to be seen. You can only say that the food is fabulous. The interior is Fabulous. This really is one Chinese that you do not want to miss. As for the pricing, a meal for two, is slightly higher than the smaller Restaurants, but this is reflected in the amazing tastes. Starting at €21 for the full meal for two people, you can choose a variety up to full hock, for two Euros extra. This just shows the ridiculous price point. We even started with a prawn cocktail !. A bottle of wine for two, included free, the only extra was, as I was not driving was a cheeky beer. Chicken satau and Pulled Pork in a great sauce. Side menus of noodles and chips. From the variety of deserts, ice cream was ideal. The icing on the cake was the free Brandy and Bailey's. If you look closely, you can see the attention to detail, the influences used, large tables, small tables, booths, an outside eating area that has to be seen to be...
Read moreMy wife and I had passed this restaurant and thought it looked attractive - and was often busy. So yesterday evening we booked s a table to go along with some friends. What a mistake that was! The service was terrible and the food was average and cold. The most striking observation was how surly all the staff were. They were completely unwelcoming and throughout the evening not one of them smiled or engaged with us in any way. It is the first time in over two years that we have eaten at an establishment and not left a tip. I would avoid this place like the plague! When looking to eat Chinese, we normally opt for the Zenia Garden. There the food is truly excellent and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. In the future we will opt for the...
Read moreMy favourite restaurant has just become my least favourite! The layout, furnishings and surroundings were all new and very tasteful. Unfortunately it has almost doubled in price. My meal consisted of a huge Tai salad which was ruined by topping it with processed sliced crab sticks. 2nd course was salt and pepper chicken - a huge amount of dry bits of battered chicken which consisted more of batter and very little chicken. This was served with a large dish of greasy noodles which were at extra cost, an water and a coffee for €17.50. We used to frequent this place a lot before the lockdown, as many as 14 of us at times but unfortunately I don’t think we will be going back. The popular €7.50 menu...
