The restaurant was completely empty, I sat down and waited for 15 minutes. I don't know what has happened to the Gran China in via park. We have been regular and satisfied visitors to it for years but that changed on our last visit. The food was abysmal, barely warm spring rolls dripping in grease, Chicken curry that was barely warm and tasted bitter and watery.The worst was Sweet and Sour Chicken which had sauce that was no more than a plate of red water and tasted like vinegar. I went to this restaurant with friend. I found the food here is very authentic, not gourmet food but very localised Chinese dishes. Real Chinese chefs and severs. I think the price is absolutely amazing compare with UK and other part of Europe. The set menu for two including drinks is great value and much cheaper than the Indian restaurant next door.
