Costa Rock Café — Restaurant in Orihuela

We have a property in La Florida And think that this bar is a great addition to the area, We have been here for the last two weeks and have attempted to eat at this restaurant three times however due to lack of staff, Service was very very slow and the kitchen wasn’t functioning to it optimum capability. We Secured a table this evening to watch the Spanish game and have a meal it took 40 minutes to get served a drink and an additional 20 minutes to place an order. Eventually, After an hour and a half meal arrived, I ordered a ribeye steak that was lukewarm and overcooked, The roasted vegetables that accompanied it had come straight out of the fridge and we’re still cold It is not a reflection on the staff, but a reflection on the management staff very humble and apologetic. The chef was on his own in the kitchen and was even coming out and serving the food personally. Whilst we were waiting for our food, we witnessed three parties leave due to not being served promptly. The restaurant was quiet despite Spain playing football this evening the issues were down to staffing structure Which needs to be addressed The food that we witnessed coming out of the kitchen during our prior visits looked great. The menu does not reflect the food coming out of the kitchen. It is vague to say the very least and offers no description of what you were ordering. The menu should be at least printed with perhaps photographic images of what you were ordering rather than the tatty typed up page that we were offered. In my opinion the menu still need some work and imagination if the bar/restaurant is to succeed in this area of La Florida issues need to be addressed are staffing and the menu needs to be more descriptive and choices more appealing. A HALLOWEEN SHAM!!! Booked a table for 7.30 for the Halloween event. 6 adults & 2 children. It took nearly an hour before we got our drinks. 4 adults ordered off the special Halloween menu with a welcome cocktail which arrived after asking several times 2 hours later! Finally we were served our starters but not the children!! When my food finally arrived it was cold! The 2 adults who ordered off the main menu were finally served at 10pm & 10.15pm no exaggeration!! We were told staff had not turned up!! Which I appreciate but should have reserve staff to hand. The manageress was clearly stressed & cried on me!!! Absolutely the Best Restaurant in the Area, This place is hands down the best restaurant around. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is always friendly and attentive. The food is simply outstanding — especially the bread with aioli which is so delicious it could be a meal on its own! The meats are perfectly cooked tender, juicy, and full of flavor, you can tell they use top-quality ingredients and really know what they’re doing on the grill!!
