I usually don't write long reviews, but this restaurant deserves it. We came in very hungry, we got served drinks immediatelly, the staff was very nice and the menu was already very appealing.
We ordered some starters, which came really quickly and we were stunned right away. They looked fabulous and the portions were so big. For example, we asked for baked brie cheese, expected just a little piece, but got a whole block of amazingly tasting cheese. The avocado humus was also great and would definetely be enough for 2 people.
We were already kind of filled after the starters. Can't lie, eating a whole cheese with a generous amount of chutney on it isn't that easy. Then the main courses came. We got the burger, tortellini and seafood tagliatelle. The burger was gigantic, the meat in it juicy and just amazing. The tagliatelle were full of fresh sea food and again a big portion. The tortellini were only a middle course (thats what they called it) and they were really surprising. The taste of goat cheese was really strong, so if youre a cheese lover, they are recommended. Since we were really hungry at the beggining we also ordered a octopus to the middle of the table to share. We couldn't finish the whole platter, but it was amazing as well.
We felt like there is no way, we could eat anything more, but we just couldn't resist the dessert menu. We got a cheesecake, brownie and a date cake. Out of these, the date cake was the best!
I think we found the best restaurant of Fuerteventura. The food was not expensive for the quality and amount you are getting. It's a shame i can only give 5 stars. I would'nt hesitate to...
Read moreThe food was so good we went back there the 2nd day as well.
Excellent quality with elavated taste of the food. Initially I was surprised to see caramelized dates with my grilled octopus but this is such an amazing flavour combination it was hard to believe. Octopus was cooked to perfection, super tender and not rubbery at all, felt almost like eating a juicy chicken.
The ribs with coleslaw and corn cob were super satisfying and cook to perfection, the meat was coming off the bones nearly on its own.
No dish was dissapointing and all of them had the little bit of that extra taste.
Also, the portions were truly abundant and absolutely worth their price.
Last but not least, the desserts were one of the best I tried in recent history.
Strongly recommended. Go try anything and Im sure you will be satisfied. The chefs and the service know what...
Read moreNot sure if it’s because we had such good dinners in the Canary Islands, but La Falua felt a bit flat compared to the other restaurants we visited during our vacation.
The best thing about La Falua was the service and ambiance, but I don’t think the food lived up to our expectations (except for the dessert!). The gambas al ajillo were okay, but you could tell that the shrimp was not very fresh. I ordered the grilled octopus, and my partner ordered the BBQ ribs. I love octopus, and theirs was just too overcooked. I also was expecting it to come on a bed of rice, potatoes, or something a bit more filling, but it just came with some greens. My partner’s BBQ ribs were great, and I would order that over the octopus.
It is worth noting that their date sponge cake was out of this world and one of the best desserts we had...
