Ristorante Pizzeria L'Italiano — Restaurant in Pájara

We came here spontaneously today. I’ve been coming to Costa Calma in Fuerteventura for over 15 years, but only discovered this place today. First, the only negative point—though it’s something the owner has no control over:

Because of the rundown and abandoned shopping center, the atmosphere feels more like a backstreet dive.

However, the food and service more than make up for it. The staff is super friendly, and the food is authentically Italian. We started with bruschetta, which was already excellent. Then came a Carbonara that truly delivered: real guanciale, real pecorino, and most importantly—no cream!

It was absolutely delicious. I suspect I’ve just had the best Carbonara in Spain, and at the fairest prices in Costa Calma. For two starters, four drinks (including wine), and two main courses, we paid €44.

We’ll be coming back tomorrow to try the pizza!

Beautiful food and incredible service at a restaurant which goes above and beyond!

My husband and I ate here during our holiday to Fuerteventura and had an amazing meal. Unfortunately, just after our main course, a beautiful gnocchi dish and a lovely pizza, there was an incident which led to beer being split. Having been a waitress myself, it was obvious that this was a complete accident anyway, but the waitress could not have been more apologetic. However, it was how this restaurant dealt with the incident that shows just how amazing it was. Despite us insisting, they refused to change us for our dessert and continuously apologised to us throughout the rest of the night.

Accidents happen, but it's how a place deals with the accidents that shows what sort of place it is, and this place is 5 stars through and through. We will be back, thank you for a great meal and...

We visited this place twice during our stay in fuerteventura, the first night we had a traditional pasta based meal including a garlic bread, bruschetta, lasagne and a tagliatelle. The second visit was a pizza visit as the first visit we saw how good the pizzas looked. I ordered the seafood pizza, my partner had the salmon and we both had fries, both visits the food was served prompt and hot. The second visit we opted for dessert. I had the cheesecake as they ran out of strudel, my partner had the Nutella calzone. The staff were really attentive, checking regularly we were OK on both visits. This shows a consistency of a good standard of hospitality. Prices were reasonable and both visits we left feeling satisfied with the meals and value for money.
