Beach Bar Horizonte — Restaurant in Pájara

I wish I had read the other reviews of this place before I stopped here.

I stopped by for a quick coffee during my walk along the beach. Approached the counter and was barked at to sit down rudely. (There are no signs indicating that it's table service only).

I then sat waiting for 15 minutes before someone came over to serve me, as the staff were too busy talking amongst themselves.

Eventually got my coffee, which was watery and tasteless.

When I finished, I could see that other people were paying at the till so I did the same, and was told, rudely again, "You pay at the table!". They then made me wait a further 15 minutes before actually coming to take payment, and obviously found this funny as they were smirking and laughing amongst themselves looking in my direction.

All of this was despite the fact there were only about 6 other people in there.

Charged me €4.50 for a small coffee. Everywhere else locally about €2.50.

I wouldn't come back here if...

Shocking service at this bar very rude obnoxious staff. Took very very long time to serve us and to bring our check, had to go ask again after 30 mins each time. Food tasted nice initially, fresh stonebaked pizza, but me and my mother ended up getting violent food poisoning, an unfortunate end to a holiday. Some things are pricey but what you would expect for the nice location with good views. Lots of options of food and drinks. Tables not cleaned and nearby toilets havent had paper or soap for 2 days on the beach. Overall felt very uncomfortable there wouldnt recommend as there is nice places with nice...

Went there with my mother and my wife, once we arrived the personal hurry me to sit down at a table, they tought i don't speak spanish and they were speaking very rude, after i want to pay and to avoid discussions at the table, i told the waiter i want to pay at the bar, he told me to sit down, i told him that i prefeer to pay at the bar and not at the table then he shout at me to sit down. Worst experience i had in my life. Pay 7€ for a beer and then the personal screams at you, just great, never...
