It baffles me that a restaurant of this quality exists in Pilar, when much of the coastal towns here hold seasonal restaurants that grab your wallets and barely fill your stomach. TroKadero is exceptional in every single way - it is the only place I have seen hold over 400 reviews and a rating of 5.0, and the team deserves it. The interior is spectacular, and I like the terrace extension. It is fully climatized and the street is not too busy. The tables are chic and the decor is pleasant. It feels like white tablecloth dining but with a fun, youthful vibe. Even the cuttlery is unique and local to Albacete, probably the most famous cuttlery factories in Spain are located there. The service is extremely friendly and Spanish - you will be treated well and in a slightly humorish manner. I liked that we weren't courted constantly, instead every time we talked to the waiter, it felt like a genuine conversation and not a "are you ok?" tone that often happens in high class restaurants. The food was exceptional. We opted for the daily menu and the Txuleta / Solomillo combination. Aside from this, they also serve fresh fish, plates and tons of unique burgers. The menu is both extremely solid and relaxed, and I will be back for the burgers. This is the only restaurant, including previous fine dining experiences in Michelin star restaurants where they will serve you with steak and ask if you want the meat to be more done. In another restaurant where I asked for the Txuleta to be cooked a bit more, the chef practically walked out to explain to me that it has to be eaten raw. In TroKadero, they pre-emptively checked and had 0 issues with cooking it a bit more. It was the nicest gesture and a testament to the chef - this restaurant isn't a product of his ego, but of his dedication to guests. I wanted to add a critique but I seriously couldn't think of any, this restaurant is my golden standard for what a restaurant should be. If they ever go with the route of having tasting menus, I expect at least one star from the Michelin guide. Thank you TroKadero team, I...

Lovely interior and fabulous waiter service. The entries/ starters were huge and we noticed later that the locals share one between two, or if you're french probably between six. I had a huge bowl of prawns swimming in a water of lumps of garlic and pimenton. I would like to take them to the kitchen, drain the watery mess, baste them in a buerre noisette (brown butter) and serve with a couple of fingers of rye bread, capers and a little salad garnich. We had fresh bread and the best aioli ever to accompany. This is primitive , very masculine food with no finesse. The main courses are basically meat or fish served as they are- no special treatments. No embellishments . There are lots of burger options too. A very strange mixture if they aspire to fine dining. My steak was butter soft and a good quality meat. I must admit the Spanish reluctance to give us vegetables has me baffled. I would have put some dauphinoise potatoes with it and a few fresh asparagus, carrot batons. We got a spoonful of something?? A smidgeon of carrot. My friends wagyu burger was unfortunately draped with a square of processed cheese? Why would you put a dirty vest on top of your best suit?? Only one of us could do a dessert and the chocolate egg disappeared in an instant. So they can do very complicated desserts. Overall a pleasant evening, but I would not go back...

We visited earlier today for lunch. It was our first time here and it certainly won’t be our last. The staff were so friendly and super attentive. We were very impressed with the great choice on the menu. We chose the Jamon Iberico and the chicken curry gyozas for starters followed by a Fillet steak and an Entrecot with bone in for mains. Sauces on the side are at an extra charge but they are all home made and really tasty. Everything was absolutely delicious and the steaks were most certainly some of the best we have had anywhere. We were informed that this is a family run business with family in the kitchen too and this really shows in the care and attention we received. There was a lovely vibe in the place which was created by a variety of large and small tables all enjoying the fabulous food and service. We highly recommend this wonderful restaurant and we will absolutely...
