We visited Ca l'Aureli based in it's ratings and reviews on TripAdvisor. Voted one of the best restaurants in the area, it was a must! The setting is on the main road, adjacent to the beach. It's not glamorous by any stretch, it's a typical tourist restaurant with middle range prices and ok food. To be brutally honest, the two waitresses were miserable, the only smile we got was when I dropped a salad leaf covered in oil in wife's drink. They were somewhat attentive, eventually lost interest in us, forgot the next round of drinks (met with a scowl when reminded) and took 10 minutes to get the bill. The visit wouldn't have been so bad of it wasn't for a group of smoking angry women who wanted the table next to us. The staff did nothing, literally nothing to manage the impatient customers. I would have expected some direction to one of the other free tables but there was barely an interaction. Enough about the staff, the menu has a lot to offer, in both Spanish and English. Comprising of mostly common dishes, the menu boasts an Ibirco ham platter, which looked delicious on another table (I definitely had food envy). We ordered a delicious goats cheese salad, probably my favourite dish, actually! The rest of our order contained the typical Tapas menu of Chorizo, Patatas Bravas and my favourite Ibirico Croquetas. Unfortunately the Croquetas were cold in the middle and lacking in the promised Ibirco flavour. The portion size if the Patatas was plentiful and their Alioili is ok. There's really not much else to say, I don't feel like I'm being over critical. I understand that the restaurant isn't responsible for other guests behaviour, in this instance it could have been managed much better. Perhaps it was a long day for the staff, which was looking more and more busy by the time we left. If you are still reading, we got there at 7:30, but if we were 15 minutes later, we would have...
Read moreAmazing food, very good price to quality ratio, amazing service and a good location. definitely the best experience we’ve had here in pineda, will definitely come back later this week!
Edited a few days later: we visited again and yet again we were blown away by the great food and the amazing service. Every waiter here is super nice and even though they are wearing a mask, it is clear they have a big kind smile on their face! If you visit we highly recommend the baby...
Read moreWe personally didn’t think the pricing nor food rated a 5. Kings in Santa Susanna had way better food and more variety. Service was friendly and family oriented. But the value for money wasn’t there as previous reviewers had stated. At Kings you get a half rack of ribs and a generous serving of garlic prawns, I’d say double to this restaurant. We had to drive to this restaurant, lovely setting and friendly staff but...
