After being recommended this restaurant while sitting outside a bar across from it, we felt lucky to walk in and get a table without a reservation. The QR code stuck to the table for a translated menu didnt work. Tried it on 2 phones. The first woman wasnt helpful when we mentioned it, even though we was speaking what was slightly better than pidgin Spanish to her, but the second woman calmly helped us understand a bit better. Unfortunately the meat I ordered was a bit dry and my partners seafood was a bit over cooked. I also forgot they love putting tuna in a salad in Spain, so that didn't cheer things up either when it arrived. The service was not great, but it couldve just been our waitress. The atmosphere? Meh. Quiet enough to be romantic, and busy enough to feel lively. There was a tv in the room playing what looked like continuous adverts for the Chinese Tourist Board. That was a little bizarre, but it did amuse me. It was expensive for a not great meal, which was a shame. The wine was...
Read moreWhat we don’t like is, they have the bread without telling there is charges! 0.80€ per person including my 3 years old child! 🫤 we went to other restaurants in other cities of Spain, they asked us if we want the bread, or come in free automatically. also, we ask packing away the remaining food (basically almost all breads and leftover rice) because we don’t like to waste food! And they charged the container fee without telling us in advanced (we have our own container).
Otherwise, everything is fine!
The Rodaballo fish (wild turbot) is good for those who want to start fish because the fish smell is mild! I like the Galician styled soup, not sure about other restaurants but the taste of their restaurant fit me well! The rice is good but we prefer paella! For the rice it mentions clearly the price in menu, and to order the price, min two person so you have to...
Read moreGood service is important, and even though the food is alright, the experience isn’t that great overall due to the lackluster service. The waiter who brought us our drinks told us that she can’t accept orders, and that a colleague will be with us shortly. This “colleague” never came. This happened multiple times. There’s no interest in pleasing the guest or providing good service, only squeezing as much money as possible out of people. For that I suppose the prices are okay; but let’s be honest; this is no five-star restaurant. For that, you need to actually make the experience worthwhile. This is a decent place to have a decent meal, but it’s quite busy and not worth the hype. I would urge you to eat somewhere else, and not feed into...
