La Droguería Bodega Jatetxea — Restaurant in Puente la Reina/Gares

Very nice place in the heart of Puente de la Reina. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the host Patxi, friendly, quick and gentle. Great service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the quality of the food. ⭐⭐⭐ For the look of venue. A nice place, typical Spanish bar/taberna. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐ For the prices. I think the ratio quality price is impeccable ⭐⭐ For the chef (or he was just a cook from the kitchen). During our dinner, a person from our group noticed that someone at the kitchen was cooking without mask. Considering that we are in the middle of a pandemic, he kindly (extremely kindly) asked if they could put the mask. Patxi very gently apologized for it and he immediately asked to the collegue to put the mask. Patxi was perfect and professional. The conversation between him and our friend has been very humble, gentle and reasonable. Two adults agreeing on something. After this short moment, a person from the kitchen came to us complaining with a quite aggressive ironic attitude. Saying that thanks to him we were eating. I think this was the only bad experience at this restaurant. I understand that it might be difficult to work with a mask. But we are in the middle of a pandemic and if someone kindly ask to wear a mask, I think that complain as reaction to such commentary is the worst thing to do. For a moment I though to give a worst review to the restaurant, but then I thought that the whole experience should not be affected by the attitude of a stressed...

We were not lucky with this restaurant.

The service was chaotic extremely slow, we waited for our burgers for well over an hour and a half, and some customers arriving after us got their food before us.

To be fair, the one and only waiter in service recognized that and gave us a glass of wine free of charge.

My burger was ok but my friend could not est hers, something was off with the meat.

A pity because it looks like a nice...

We had a great meal here with excellent service. They don't serve food till 8pm, but it's worth waiting for. Only thing I'd avoid are the pigs trotters which were gelatinous and gross. The waitress warned us, but one of the party wanted to try them anyway. They have Vermut on tap and a lovely courtyard seating area they can cover...
