Ribeiro e Xamón — Restaurant in Ribadavia

The delightfulness of Ribadavia is only enhanced by a visit to this Tapas bar. We sat out on the terrace and were attended to by a very friendly waiter and waitress. We didn't speak Spanish, they didn't speak English and it didn't phase either of us. The menu is very simple, easy to understand with the pictures and reasonabky priced. They only really serve one "main meal" which is a delicious grill of potatoes, steak and mushrooms. The sala with prawns that we had also was really enjoyable, lots of unusual flavours and textures that really worked. The whole ambience sitting outthe front watching teh workd go by while drinking local wine and eating amazing food was a a memory we'll hold onto. We are in the area for 2 months so we will definately go back and try some of the meat and cheese...

This little nice taperia / restaurant / winebar offers a cosy place, decorated with winebarrels and host you with an excellent service. You get offered a delicious choice of local dishes, homemade deserts, tapas and wines and explanations and tasting of the grapes and compositions, grown in the area. For me the perfect place to spend and indulge yourself on an afternoon. I am looking forward to come back in summer to sit outside on the little midivial square.

Recommendation: Entrecôte on a hot stone, on point medium rare - huge mixed variation of jamon, salchichon, young and aged cheese, lomo, fuet - homemade juicy almond cake tarta...

We found this place after a quick google search of places to eat near the Termas de Prexigueiro (it’s only 8 minutes by car). We called beforehand to book a table however it was not crowded or overly busy when we got there. They only do a few things, the menu is not filled with different kind of starters, mains and desserts instead they offer a few select dishes and everything is of an incredible high standard! I was able to try Rubia Galega for the first time and it changed my life! Thank you so much for having us! We had a fantastic meal! The waiter was very knowledgable and happy to explain everything!...
