What a quirky, wholesome and professional restaurant with a great attitude towards homely food. Obviously with history. We thoroughly enjoyed our menu del dia lunch there today with the 4 of us (€19 Including wine, water and bread) which is excellent value for the quality of food and friendly service. We chose the fish soup to start, which can only be described as heavenly. We were so impressed with the starters that I totally forgot to take photos of the main courses, which were equally excellent and very enjoyable. We chose anchovies in garlic and pork secreto. Desert was home made cheese cake and lemon moose. Delicious! The chef certainly takes pride in his restaurant. We will be back!

We loved the food. The portion is quite generous. We ordered escalope and bocartes rebozados. We had another meal for 2 the next day. The papa fritas were not as crispy as those often found in the US. However, they were typical from the region. The steak was flavorful. I loved the anchovies coated in a thin egg batter and fried. Again, it wasn't crispy. It was fresh and well cooked. We went on a Tuesday night around 8:30 so it wasn't crowded. We thought the price was fair. We did have a tomato salad (good salad, just too much food for us), our entries, dessert, and coffee.

Fantastic. I think a couple owns this place who is also doing the service. They are all really dedicated to delivering great service and great food. Nothing fancy, but tidy and classy, delicious, and actually a lot of bang for your buck. They don't have an english menu but the lady made sure to take all the time I needed to understand what they offered. Loved everything...
