First, Google Maps led me straight to the café to meet awaiting friends (and to pick up a key). The place is bright with a lot of light, especially natural light. It's not a huge place, but the space is well used. The color scheme is mostly light pastels and white. The guy working spoke English, which made ordering easy. In the display case bagels (I don't see them here every day) and croissants were noticeably present. I chose a tostada for 2.20€ of cheese and roasted turkey. It was served with lechuga de cordero (lambs lettuce in English/mâche en français). Olive oil and balsamic vinegar were drizzled on top. It was perfectly toasted, and very tasty. It was wider than the plate upon which it came, so that was nice. They make fresh dairy-free smoothies. The one I tried was with fresh ginger and fruit with orange juice as a base. It was excellent. It had plenty of ginger, but not too much. Many American students hang out there. Probably for the free wifi, English speaking staff, and familiar foods. I look forward to going back and trying...

We recently visited our son who had been studying at the University and he brought us here. Not only was the food, drink and service wonderful-even more so was the fact that the owners really knew him and his friends. It felt like home - friendly and welcoming. When we went to leave, and as it was his last day in Salamanca, the goodbye to him and his friends was heartfelt from the owners. His experience in Salamanca was life changing. Not only from the academic side but as much from the warm and supportive people he met like those who run this wonderful cafe. If you're in Salamanca for a day, a semester, or forever - make a visit to Caledonia. Great...

Used to go religiously in autumn/spring 2022 with friends etc. Almost weekly. The owner/manager was exceedingly kind-hearted and the portions were always gigantic. Having not been in over a year, friends and I still talk about the quality of such products, the friendliness of staff, and the consistent quality that made Caledonia so good. I distinctly remember when telling the staff I was leaving to go on the 2nd half of my eramus elsewhere, that they gave me recommendations where to go, and insisted that I come back. I hope to go soon. This is a phenomenal establishment in salamanca. Could not...

Pretty good place for brunch (for Salamanca standards). The menu consists of toasts, bagels, egg dishes, breakfast bowls and cakes. We really liked the Billy Goat toast (roasted pepper, caramelized goat cheese, tomato jam). The huevos rancheros are good as well (although the beans may be too spicy for some). The açaí bowl doesn't taste much like açaí, because it's stretched with other fruit, but it's still enjoyable. Unfortunately, the espresso doesn't go beyond cafeteria quality.
