Restaurante Steakhaus Tropical — Restaurant in Salobreña

I've lived in Salobreña for three years now and have wanted to try this restaurant for just as long. It didn't disappoint! The steak (a 10- ounce...400g... entrecote) was the best, most tender and flavorful I've had and it was fun to cut it into pieces and grill it on the hot stone. Curious where they source their beef because it was phenomenal; buttery, melt-in-your-mouth phenomenal. Three sauces come with the steak: a mushroom, aioli and something spicy; all were flavorful and delicious. We tried their "famous" baked potato, which was also a treat and great accompaniment to the steak. Service was friendly and attentive, which says a lot on a Monday evening after one of the busiest holiday weekends, so bravo to the staff for keeping smiles on their faces. Amazing steaks! I make a point of visiting this restaurant every time I'm in Spain because the food and location are so good. Just off the beach in Salobrena with outdoor dining which is covered in cooler weather, the restaurant's 'USP' is steak served raw, with a hot stone for you to cook your meat the way you like it. Whilst this offers the opportunity for poorer 'chefs' to ruin their dinner, the meat is so tender and tasty that it's really hard to mess it up! For holidaymakers, it's handy that the menu is offered in several different languages. First thing first, the service is EXCELLENT! It was very busy the night we visited but the staff still managed to attend us right away. He even brought our dog a water bowl - we appreciated it so much because it was totally unnecessary specially when they were extremely busy. Of course it's quite touristy and the prices are on the slightly higher side given the location and whatnot but the whole dining experience was lovely. You can enjoy a steak-on-hot-stone meal with an ocean view and the weather is usually pretty nice even at hot summer nights.
