Catalunya 92 Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Salou

I honestly didn’t know what I expected showing up to such a dodgy and cheap looking restaurant. I thought anything couldn’t let me down more then the food I ate here in salou, yet catalunya 92 managed hit rock bottom. Both the restaurant in itself was horrible upon arrival, and then proceeded to live up to it’s very low standards by fish and chicken paella having the wonderful surprise of a very appetising gray hair. I would have expected the waiter to immediately take away the food, however was met with an interrogation of whether we planted the hair. Thankfully, he refunded the meal but was very reluctant in doing so. He then proceeded to give us advise not to order seafood with the shells on in a very back handed manner as if we were incapable of peeling our seafood. I really don’t see how this restaurant has such high reviews. in fact l, i don’t see how any restaurant in salou has such high reviews. If you want good spanish food, don’t go to salou and definitely do not go to catalunya 92. I hope whoever is reading takes this as a true warning. there is a lot more i can comment on about the menu, the staff and the food itself, however I will let you make your own...

One of our favourite places we found in Salou. Staff are lovely and always very welcoming. We were worried about how big the menu is but we tried a variation of food over our holiday and everything was really good. Cocktails are amazing and such a good price for the size of them. One of the few restaurants in Salou where the person standing outside is actually helpful/friendly and doesn't just whistle or yell to get you in the door, he is much more approachable. Other restaurants nearby will have someone handing out leaflets or whistling in your face and it can be very off-putting, so it's nice to have someone wait for you to look at the menu before trying to drag you in the door. amazing restaurant, food is great and staff are lovely! the owner stands outside and chats to people but doesn't try to drag people inside the restaurant like other places in the area, everyone is friendly and happy to help people regardless of if they go in to eat. there is a huge selection of food and everything we tried in our multiple visits there was great, everything is really well priced. the cocktails are amazing, and huge sizes for what you're paying. we were offered shots on the house every time we went in, and because we liked the vodka caramelo shots so much they even gave us a bottle on the house to take with us on our last day. highly recommend checking out this restaurant when...
