Baja Surf Café — Restaurant in San Cristóbal de La Laguna

This is a place to be in Bajamar. The locals mingle here with some tourists. You can get nice drinks and food. Mind that the kitchen isn't always open (I think it opens 7 pm, not sure about lunch). But when it's closed you can still get some snacks and appetizers. We tried sweet potatoes from the snack list and oh boy! They are amazing! The self-made pesto is absolutely yummy. We also tried the vegan burgers, they were tasty but not as great as papas bravas. You don't have amazing sea views here and the terrace is more or less in the middle of the street, but you come here for the atmosphere...

Food was ok. Bit overpriced.

We waited over an hour for our burgers. When it finally came they apologised and asked us if we wanted another soft drink. In any other restaurant that I know this would have been on the house. But in the end they charged us also for that. I was disappointed in the way they handled the situation.

Next time please tell us earlier that it will take longer. I mean, we were there with three young kids. They also waited an hour for...

This is with no doubt the best spot in Bajamar. We unfortunately became aware of the restaurant only at the end of our vacation. Otherwise, we would’ve went a lot more often. We loved the food, for example the smashed burger, the nachos and the bowls. The portions are huge and prices are low. The atmosphere is great, especially in the evening when the restaurant is full. Last but not least, the service is amazing. We absolutely recommend this place...
