Bavarius — Restaurant in San Fulgencio

This was easily the worst plate of "German" food that I have ever been presented with. German food is always tasty. This was at the other end of the spectrum. I had the smoked pork chop with mashed potato and sauerkraut, a meal I have enjoyed many times before both in Germany and Spain. The meat was tasteless and unappetising. The mashed potato was cold and had the consistency of lumpy wallpaper paste. It was a peculiar greyish colour. The sauerkraut also tasted strange and was not fresh. It was disgusting. Do not eat here if you know what real German food tastes like. We eat out a lot, and this was the first time in 40 years that I have refused to pay for a meal. The food was horrible and looked disgusting. When we told the waiter that it wasnt good she just said okey. And after we had sat there for 30 minutes and nobody came back to us, we had to ask for the bill. Then we asked if we could pay for the starters and drinks, since we didnt eat the main. They said we had to pay for everything, and yelled that we should not come back and eat there again. Never experienced so bad service...

Just had a couple of drinks here, but would like to go again during Oktoberfest, when they seem to enjoy this annual German tradition in style, with a lovely ambience oozing onto the outside patio. Have only gone past at this time and haven't been able to actually go in, so that's on...
