We went here for a takeaway. Being pescatarian we found it very difficult to find any suitable dishes to buy here. Eventually we decided to have vegetable fried rice (not on the menu) and vegetable spring rolls. The food was obviously fresh cooked as it took around 20 minutes to be ready. The rice was good and came with a separate sweet and sour sauce. The spring rolls surprising. I ordered four as I expected them to be the usual small size I’ve always had. Instead each was about the size of four rolls together. Nice, but way too much food. We also got complimentary prawn crackers which we ate next day.

The restaurant itself was about a third full at the time. Quite a formal room with high backed chairs and quite bright lighting. It’s on the ground floor in Consum Square with plenty of free parking and is fully accessible.

Not sure if it's the same owners, but have dinned at The Grand Chino for over 15 years. But tonight we were totally ripped off. Ordered 2 menu del dias, had 2 soups to start and a main each and 1 bottle of Semi seco white wine usually have Emparrado but this was unavailable so they gave us the Local One ( Diamonte) I think the price was in the Label , declined ice cream and coffee, No Schnappes offered . Conclusion; 2 menu del dias €12.50 1 bottle of Local Wine €9.90. Meaning no Small Beer/Vino Blanco that should be inclusive of the Menu del dias!! And Rip off price Wine. We had a pleasant meal here where the staff were really helpful and charming. The food was OK but nothing special. Prices are very reasonable and meal bundles come with a drink or even a bottle of wine. The restaurant has 3 main dining areas. The inside area was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
