The Chippy was recommended to me, so I had to give it a try. This was our final review of eight chip shops on the Costa Blanca during this trip, so we bought a little extra to keep us going for the drive across Spain and France. The staff seemed busy, and the shop was clean and tidy. There was, of course, the takeaway option, as well as the choice to eat inside or outside under a canopy, which was a nice touch. A large car park is located across the road, with additional parking spaces along the street, so there were no issues there. The chips were quite nice—thick and plentiful. The large cod came in two pieces and was both chunky and tasty, though the batter was holding on to a little too much oil. The in-house coleslaw was good, with generously shredded vegetables. The mushy peas were thick and delicious, served in a reasonably large tub. The in-house Thai fishcakes were also tasty, packed with lots of familiar and flavourful ingredients.

Came with 4 people so 5 in total had the menu of the day apart from me I had the zinger burger never again, it came with the cheese slices in wrappers on top and a hash brown and tomato chili sauce wasn't bothered about the sauce but they should mention it cones with hash brown and plastic cheese that's not how a zinger burger comes should only be with lettuce and 1 slice of tomato if it's not on the menu don't put it on I'm diabetic and can't eat certain foods, it's not to stare what extras they are going to put on it just cuz they think it's ok I was nearly dick it spoilt my meal. Apart from that everyone else's was ok. If we do comeback I will not be ordering that again! Also they stuck us outside in the heat instead of inside with fans. They need to get Aircon as it's needed in the hot months!

I have been here so many times and it just gets better and better. I only have the menu of the day which consists of Cod or Haddock with chips, peas (mushy or normal) and bread and butter. I always opt for the cod and it's a pretty big serving that you get too. It is battered to perfection and is absolutely lovely. I have had fish and chips in many parts of England but this is better than the lot, considering it is in Spain. Always take a trip here on every visit to La Marina and it really is a quality meal. Prices gone up slightly compared to last year but I am here in the summer so perhaps that is why, €7.50 is still not bad to be fair.
