Cafe Med — Restaurant in San Miguel de Abona

Went for this Happy hour one evening last week . Asked what drinks were included was told the local beer alambra and local gin and a mixer . Barman asked us to take a seat and he would bring the drinks to us . I ordered a g & t .Husband ordered a local beer . My g & t arrived in a small alambra beer glass and was already mixed ?!! Cafe Med is a hidden gem. Although on the Royal Tenerife Diamond Resort site, it's fully independent. My wife and I had the best belly pork ever. It was the first time I've enjoyed the crackling. But please try hard to book a table. It's a small intimate venue. The owners are warm and welcoming. It may not be down in the heart of the town restaurants, but it is well worth the effort to go there. We'll be back...

An absolute gem of a place. Gorgeous home cooked food, fresh to order. We had tapas the first evening and returned a couple of days later for pasta… delish. Lovely small family run business, very welcoming and friendly. VERY reasonable prices, we had 2 courses and 2 drinks plus a complimentary slice of divine carrot cake for £31. I’d highly recommend...
