Fantastic Experience.

I first visited Mermaid Diving in February 2014 for a two week holiday. I contacted Melissa at Mermaid when I was arranging my time off work, and she was able to answer all my questions and coordinate my accommodation for the holiday.

The Instructors and Interns were all very friendly and genuine. I never imagined it would be so easy to meet so many new friends, but these guys made me feel welcome and part of the "gang" right from the start. To make a long story short, I completed my open water course in the first week, then jumped right in to the advanced open water certification in the second week.

I had such a great time that as soon as I got home, I booked my next holiday to return (June 2014) for more recreational diving. Once again, Melissa was a star. She got my accommodation sorted again (great location, great price, great flat). I didn't manage to get as many dives as I'd hoped for (due to late night World Cup matches and a wicked hangover...) but, that's my own fault. All in all, I had a great time, diving for fun and not having to worry about the course work.

I know there are more famous places to dive the Tenerife, but it is a fantastic place to learn to dive. I was completely amazed at how much sea life there was, even on the shore dives in just a few meters of water... and a completely different experience with wall and wreck dives in deep water. Golf del Sur is great little spot if you enjoy a nice relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, perfect for a diving holiday.

During our holiday on Tenerife we also wanted to do our first dive in the ocean outside the Netherlands, we both have our SSI Open Water certificate, but last dive was a year ago. Therefor I contacted GooDiving the week before our holiday and they could give us a refresh course and an fundive after that, very reasonably prized. Also the contact and fast responses were a plus. We were send an easy checkin to fill out beforehand. The morning of the dive we were greeted by Andrea, very friendly guy, who helped us find the right equipment. After that, Roberta came to pick us up, she was going to do the dives with us. Also very friendly and both spoke really good English. We did our refresh course in the really nice Marina San Miguel. Roberta is a really good instructor, very knowledgaeble and friendly. She led us through the exercises very patiently, even when there were some troubles doing certain exersises. After the refresh we went to Abades to do our fun dive. We had a small group, total of four people, which was nice. Again instructions were clear and we went into the sea. It was a beautifull dive, we saw grazing seaturtles, barracudas, lots of nice coloured fish and even a butterfly ray. We really enjoyed it. Roberta took lots of underwater photos, which we later received by a download link. I can recommend this diving school to anyone who wants to explore the seas around Tenerife. You can definitly feel that the owners of this diving school, this lovely couple Roberta and Andrea, are doing it out of love for the breathtaking underwater world. Loved every...

I am in Tenerife for the first time and I didn't want a "tourist" holiday... so when I looked for a diving center I didn't want the typical dive center where you're handled like a tourist and where you don't really feel like an individual, just a customer. Well I settled on GooDiving. After the first call with Roberta I knew it was going to be great. Andrea and Roberta have a VERY professional dive center that is also very personable. They are experts at what they do and take a lot of pride in running a legit, professional business that is both educational, personal and FUN! They take diving seriously, and are eager to share their knowledge and skills and to help you not just enjoy diving, but to help make you a better diver, ore aware of what you are experiencing, and also aware of the awesome beauty of the ocean and how to enjoy it safely (both for you and the marine life). We saw stingrays, octopus, cuttlefish, and an insane amount of beautiful fish at some truly breathtaking dive sites - all with a unique look and feel. I planned to do several different activities while here, but loved diving with these guys so much I just ended up diving all week! Can't say enough good things about GooDiving.
