Conesa Castle — Restaurant in San Miguel de Salinas

Atrociously, slow service. As a party of 4, we booked for an early lunch to avoid any congestion in the Kitchen, as it was a warm and sunny day. We were quickly given Menus and drinks were ordered and delivered to our table. And then we waited. 15 minutes later our order was taken. And then we waited. Other tables of a similar size were served with their first course, and still we waited. After 20 minutes, our starters were served and the plates were subsequently cleared away. And then we waited. Eventually, after another 15 minutes, with other tables served that had arrived after us, our Mains arrived and once finished, plates were cleared away. And then we waited. Eventually we were asked if we wanted a Postre and menus were left to peruse for 10 minutes. On ordering, we asked if we could order Coffees and these arrived in 2 minutes. And then we waited. Coffees drunk, we stopped our waitress and asked where our Postres were. She told us there was a queue in the Kitchen, but other Tables who had ordered after us, had received and eaten theirs, requested their Cuenta, paid and had left, but still we waited. After 25 minutes, my Ice Cream arrived, followed by another frozen dessert, Melon and Lemon Sorbet, which was probably, out of the 4, the only one that needed a lot of attention, so why we waited so long is a mystery. In total, our Menu del Dia took over 3 hours to be served and consumed, for which we received no explanation or apology. We arrived as a party of very well behaved pre booked patrons ( 16 in total ) for lunch at 1.00pm on Wednesday 10th July 2024 with good money to spend to be greeted by the most unhappy miserable faced female member of staff your company could have possibly presented on that day ( you know who you are )From the moment we were seated she spoiled our whole experience as a group by denying a very very small dog a drink of water!! I don’t need to explain our experience any further as from that moment the occasion was spoiled.I have visited all of the units your company has to offer ( Yes I mean your fast food units not restaurants) & from this day most of my friends will never return to any of them & we have a comprehensive Facebook following to share all of our experiences good , bad or indifferent. In my opinion some of your employees have a disparaging attitude & this should be addressed in the name of customer services. The internet is a very welcome guest globally for occasions such as these. We are a very diverse group of people & sadly this person could not relate to any of us yet she could smile & fan herself with good cause behind the scenes with her fellow colleagues thinking no one is watching ,not to be to personal . Shame on your management. No reply from you or your management can justify our disappointing experience. Just learn from this honest review & please give additional training to your staff to respect every patron & animal seated in your indoor & OUTDOOR area. absolutely no respect and no behavior! We wanted to get a fish (a la carte) not from the cheap menue wich was a pictured with sauce hollondaise on the menu. the hake was grilled and the sauce was by the side. we didnt wanted the sauce but cause it was by side in a bowl on the foto, it wasn’t necessary to change the order. ...the fish came bathed in the yellow supermarket sauce and it looked awful. We nicely told the waiter to take it with him and bring the dish as is promoted it in the menu. 3(!) times, 3(!) diffrent men came to our table to discuss the situation. always with the fish plate in the hand. in the end the boss came and shoutet at us. after telling him to rubbish the food and that we are going to pay for it, without even touch the food, the boss left our table. most rude service we have ever got, and we eat daily in restaurants all over...
