Restaurante El Castillo — Restaurant in San Pedro del Pinatar

The ambient area is great, the bar and outdoor sitting area is nice and cozy, but the food disappoints.

In their menu it says the serve "traditional pealla", but upon ordering it we received a local spin on the dish. It did not deliver the experience we expected from eating paella.

My party also ordered a rare steak, but what we received was what tasted and looked like a sous vide cooked tenderloin, which had then been seared on low heat. In line with the paella, this disappointed several people in my party.

El Castillo is a great looking restaurant that fits perfectly into a small street in Spain, and has a beautiful castle in the background (hence the name "El Castillo"). Sadly, the food disappoints greatly. If you have nowhere else to go and haven't eaten in 17 days, I highly recommend El Castillo. If not, find somewhere...

My new favourite tapas restaurant. Old fashioned in the way that they have lots of different tapas to choose from on display. Excellent English is spoken by the staff and the owner who also is a renown jazz and rock musician. Es muy difícil encontrar el nivel de calidad y cariño que puedes encontrar en este restaurante, los pescados y mariscos son frescos, del mismo día y las carnes son de una calidad espectacular, no es peloteo, es verdad, además el trato es familiar y entrañable. Ayer cenamos mi mujer y yo, unos entrantes increíbles, de plato fuerte mi señora pidió rodaballo, yo no entiendo mucho de pescado, pero mi mujer disfruto de lo lindo, según ella era el mejor rodaballo que había comido en mucho tiempo. Yo soy más de carne, mi familia es de ávila, para que os hagáis una idea, algo de carne entiende uno. Yo pedí pluma de ibérico,... Buah, impresionante!!!!, una calidad y sabor como solo recuerdo de los pueblos de la tierra de mi familia. El precio?, a mi se me hizo barato en comparación con la calidad, en esta zona hay un restaurante de los de "alto copete", donde los mismo que cenamos ayer y con una calidad y frescura similar nos hubiera costado justo el doble, así que si hablamos de calidad precio, es el mejor restaurante de la costa de Murcia, con mucha diferencia.
