The Corner Music Tavern — Restaurant in San Pedro del Pinatar

The bar itself is lovely, and the spot is lovely. But I had a bad experience at one point while ordering a drink with a staff member that spoke pretty good English (I visited Spain from Ireland). While he was taking my order, another staff member that had served me for the previous 2 drinks walked behind him and said "Español?" to the guy serving me, which the server then smirked at as the other guy walked off. (if you don't know that means "Spanish?"). It seemed clear he was referring to the fact that I didn't look or seem Spanish, and there was a joke at my expense. They also never - not once - cleared the table myself and my girlfriend were sitting at, while they walked around our table to clear others, which had Spanish people sitting at them. Maybe it was misjudging or overreacting to seemingly small things, but I feel as though if I did those things to a foreign person - walk behind a colleague while they were serving them and say "irish?" in front of them and laugh with my friend; or avoid their table in any way - I would be called a racist. We come over from Cartegena as the live music is really good. We like Sundays as its an early start so we are not late getting back. Service usual for such a venue and it can get crowded so expect to be pushed about a bit. We don't drink that much because of work but good selection of beers etc. Downsides are whilst a great gang of smokers by the front door there are a few vapers that pollute your lungs inside. Yes I know it's lawful but don't make it right. I only got one set of lungs. We stay as long as possible until its over bearing. Some of the bands have a break part way thru the set which is not good. Either start later or add another couple of songs. Keep it live guys not many places...
