Real Club Marítimo Sotogrande — Restaurant in San Roque

Normally I love the restaurant at the yacht club but the other night it was just not up to scratch. The waitress who took our order insisted that she would remember all the things we had ordered without writing them down. As a result a lot of mistakes were made and we had to ask numerous times for things that we were still waiting for. The gazpacho was off, it tasted fizzy and was clearly past its sell by date. We sent it back without eating more than a spoonful but we were still charged for it and we did not notice until we got home. The tables were not cleaned promptly so you felt like you were eating in a dirty restaurant. I agree with the other reviewer that when it was a more simple cafe it was better. They have added very strong lights which takes away the charm of one of the nicest settings in Sotogrande. One of the waitresses is excellent (is it Icanna?). She had served us before. She ended up having to apologise that the other waitress had made so many mistakes. Used to be great with a great variety of cafe style food at reasonable prices but now it has completely changed. The menu is very typical of most of the restaurants in the area now and the prices are comparable with Sotogrande marina.
