So, this place is off the beaten track, however, if you don’t mind the travel out of San Sebastián then you are in for a treat. This is Spanish cooking at its best, this is not ‘ up your rear end’ cuisine this is rustic + Spanish nosh I hade the Hake & spider crab, my wife had the whole roasted Monkfish tail, beautifully cooked, the fish soup was deeply fishy & flavoursome. The rice puddings were delicious, all washed down with a great bottle of Spanish white. Total damage €86 Euros, a real bargain compared with what you would pay in central San Sebastián. This really is an amazing place to eat. We ate here twice during our stay & can quite easily say it was without a doubt, the best we ate while there. These people know how to cook. Excellent food! Zamburiñas (shellfish) were seasoned with an olive oil/garlic sauce and were big! We tried the seafood rice casserole for 2, which definitely served 3 hungry guys. This was cooked to perfection with 4 huge gambas. To finalize things, we ordered the sea bass which came glorious as it was fresh and served in an olive oil based sauce.
