We stayed here for 3 nights, and it was the worst hotel experience of my life. From the check in to the cleaning service, everything was terrible.
What really made the terrible experience even worst was that my boyfriend left his laptop in the hotel room. We didn’t notice until after we went through security at the airport, two hours after checking out. I called the hotel as soon as possible, and they said it was sitting in reception but “they didn’t get around to calling yet.” For a laptop over 1,000€, it should be top priority to call the guest to make sure they get it. It is very shady they didn’t call us, and I had to be the one to call them. We had to have the airline hold our flight because my boyfriend had to rush to get a taxi to pick up his laptop and come back to the airport. The hotel offered no solution whatsoever to either send the laptop to the airport via taxi or to mail it to us in Barcelona. We offered to cover the expenses, and they basically said it was our problem.
The check in process was a mess. They prompt you to do a self check in but then make you wait for 5 mins while they talk amongst themselves to then go over instructions with you after you had to check in by yourself.
Our faucet in our hotel room was broken, so water didn’t stream properly.
I’m very concerned about the cleaning procedures of this establishment. The cleaning ladies also do not replace the glasses in the room with clean cups. We were given dirty cups, and after using clean cups we received from reception, the cleaning ladies just rinsed them out and pretended they were clean. They also didn’t remove any of the empty water bottles kombucha bottles we clearly put as trash.
The irons in the laundry room ruined two of my clothes, which were quite expensive pieces.
Breakfast is 16€/person for a mediocre spread with no fresh coffee - it was a self...
Read moreThis TSH just convince fully (as almost all others I know so far do aswell.) In this recently opened The Social Hub they improved things that were missing in older ones. For example: The rooftop pool is deeper and wider so you can really swim here (not the case in Barcelona Poblenou) A very big Gym with very good equipment
The Hotel comes along with facilities as Lobby, Restaurant, Bar, Gym that are all perfectly working for a hotel guest and students/digital nomads aswell.
What many guests probably aren’t aware of are the free use of laundry and common kitchen. This makes it possible to save money and get some comfort, especially for young travellers (as I am) a very important point to save on costs.
I can not really tell a lot about the community in this TSH as Im here during summer time and almost only hotel guests live in this place. Anyways the stuff is very friendly and helpful.
To point out also something negative: being able to only use one washing machine or dryer at a time is very annoying when you plan to wash a lot. Furthermore you have to download an App in advance. Atleast this makes it comfortable getting an overview on which machine is occupied or how long your washing cycle will take. another point is that wt chill-out area next to the Pool you constantly get wet from people playing in the pool. Reading a book here is not recommended. the location is a bit out of the city centre. A walk to the old town will take you 15minutes while the beach is almost 30min walk away. You can alternatively use a bike or busses.
All in all definetely 5* from my side. This TSH is a a bit smaller than other ones, but it doesn‘t miss on the facilites you...
Read moreVery modern hotel with lots of amenities. They have a co-working space, a bar and restaurant, a rooftop pool, laundry machines and a big underground parking garage. They also offer the possibility to rent bikes. The hotel is located in the outskirts of San Sebastian, about half an hour walk from the historical city center. The walk is very pleasant and mostly car free. We actually enjoyed crossing the bridge, walking through the park and then along the beautiful river.
This whole site has a very modern vibe. Our room was very spacious and modern. The bathroom was clean, well equipped and we enjoyed using the shower and skin care products they offered. Extra points for using toilet paper from The Good Roll. We did notice an unpleasant, sewage like smell in the corridors though.
For 15 euro per person you can enjoy the breakfast buffet. The buffet offers a nice selection of warm and cold breakfast options. At certain times it can get very busy at the buffet, so we made sure to get up early. Although I loved all the different food options, they weren't presented in a very practical manner. Especially the lids on the pots were a hassle. And some explanations about the food would we have been nice also.
The rooftop pool sadly had limited opening hours (from 11h until 19h), so we never had the opportunity to actually use the pool.
Although the reception staff was very friendly and helpful (it was not a problem to reschedule our breakfast after I had gotten ill one morning), the personnel in the...
