Really disappointing meal last night. Ordered a fillet steak. Asked for medium and it came out rare. I cut it in half and sent it back. It came back and looked like a completely different piece of meat. Or at least on another plate. Everything was to much trouble for the staff, they were busy I get that but my food wasn’t right. It came back and I ate one half and the next half was fatty and running through making it hard to cut with a steak knife. I only eat fillet as I don’t like fatty bits etc I made the staff aware and was faced with attitude as if I was complaining to get a free meal. That was not the case at all. One of the male servers tried to argue I had eaten most of it. There was a decent chunk of the last half left. If it was nice I would have ate it! I don’t like wasting food never mind €38 fillet steak. I was hit with more hostility and they agreed to do new a “deal” it was 10% off like €5 euros off a €38 steak. To be fair the veg and potato was lovely and ate it all but the value was in the fillet steak. I wasn’t event after half the steak cost but 10% was a joke. The staff became rude and aggressive when they were challenged about the discount. In the end I paid it and walked out. Staff dealt with it awfully and could have managed the situation much better. I am sure the food is very nice but my experience was terrible. They just kept saying there was only a small bit left. It was 2/3rd or the half they brought back. Should have taken a picture really. Very disappointing and wouldn’t return. Staff need training in customer service. We didn’t want it for free, maybe they get that a lot but doesn’t excuse their...
Read moreRios allow ‘Capadi Rebels’ to scam people out of their restaurant. I was in Ibiza this summer and while walking to find somewhere to eat me and my friends were approached by a capadi promoter. He spoke to us and suggested that we try Rio’s bar for something to eat. When we got there he brought over another promoter named Mike who sat with us for around an hour upselling an events package to us. For this package he requested 150 euros each for a deposit, which upon calculating event costs, was a complete scam. We were still required to pay every night for a ticket despite this ‘deposit’ and were charged for events that he had told us were free. He told us these events were free as we had said we weren’t looking to go to them, but with the money we paid for the deposit and ticket prices it didn’t add up. We were then followed to an ATM while we took out the cash. Not only this, when trying to get in contact with Mike regarding these events he completely ignored all communication and then proceeded to pretend he did not recognise us when we approached him at Rio’s the following day. Absolutely shocking behaviour and incredibly unprofessional. We were also told when trying to attend one of these events that the tickets we were given were not valid and we should not have been given them. Mike tried to claim that this was because we had not went before the entry time, which was false, he was basing this off of when I tried to get in touch with him which was after we had been turned away and returned back to our hotel. No help from ‘managers’ either....
Read moreWe were sold a €300 club/open bar package each by a northern Irish guy called Ryan and a woman called Jodie who were working for Rio. We were told we would be sent an itinerary that never arrived, I tried to chase it up but received no response.
We were told we would have guest list to Eden on one night and DC10 on another, we realised that night when outside Eden that it had free entry before 1am, we were told we had to arrive before 1am so we had paid €30 for nothing. Another night we waited 30 minutes in the DC10 guest list queue on a Thursday night to be told we weren't on the list.. as well as the embarrassment we had to pay €60 each instead of €35 which we would have paid if we were actually on the guest list.
The "open bar" doesn't include shots, just cheap alcohol, we had also paid for a pre party with a 2 hour open bar before Ushuaia but since we were never given an actual itinerary we didn't end up going, again more money wasted.
I would suggest avoiding buying any tickets these from dodgy promoters, they are quick to take your money but their service is absolutely awful.. you can find any tickets they sell you online for cheaper!
I can assure you these promoters are associated with Rios as they gave the wrist bands for the open bar outside Rios as well as spending most of their time behind the outdoor bar in the lounge area. They were here on...
