The barbecue flavour chicken wings starter were nice - however our mains were all luke-warm at best and very small portions, the burrito lacked any rice or beans, probably pre prepared and put under the grill to reheat only they werent heated through. The waitress forgot our order of chips (probably the tastiest part of the meal, and hottest) which were then delivered at the same time as our deserts, we were told the chips would be on the house as the waitress accepted responsibility for this mistake however we were still billed for them. The sangria was good and the staff were very friendly once we caught their attention, the restaurant looks closed as they do not staff the entrance door. We saw several groups of potential customers looking to come in but the rope over the gateway of the door and lack of door staff probably suggested that they were closed. The decor is great, really well thought out and we'll executed, the atmosphere was generally good on the whole however we overheard other customers state that the food (loaded Nachos) were also cold.
Not a good experience for somewhere which seems to have so many...
Read morePopped in here with my mum this evening as we really fancied a proper Mexican meal but unfortunately although we had been recommended this restaurant and there were fab reviews we were so disappointed not to mention physically sick off of it as soon as we had come back to the hotel (Hotel Tarba-across the road literally). The menu consists of unusual mexican food and not very many cocktails, not even a Pina Colada or classic Margarita?! We ordered the chicken enchiladas which barely had any pulled chicken in, was absolutely swimming in sauce and was really bland as well as being such a small portion for a main - not to mention luke warm. We were so hungry afterwards we ordered the Nachos with chilli beef. Lets put it this way, we thought the cheese looked like american mustard, there was no guacamole included and the chilli itself is tasteless. I make a better one at home from Lidl. Save your money and go elsewhere, regardless of the...
Read moreThis was -by far- the most fun, creative, entertaining and tasty (Mexican) dining experience I've ever had. We were drawn in by the inviting facade, the decor outside and inside has been really well carried out. They've put thought into every inch of this place. The tables are all covered with a white paper table cover and have some pieces of coloured chalk to draw with...all tables are equipped with a landline phone with which you can call the other tables (brilliant!). The music is fun and just at the perfect volume to be infected eith the Mexican vibe, but still be able to hold a conversation. The lighting is good and the food is amazing. If you are in San Antonio, or anywhere on the island, and you want to eat a great Mexican meal while getting a unique and fun experience...you NEED to go here. We are a child-free couple (but very young at heart) and we loved it here. But I can imagine it's also a great place to...
