Restaurant Blau by Foodies — Restaurant in Sant Cugat del Vallès

I've lived in Sant Cugat for nearly 9 years - we have some great restaurants and I've eaten at many of them. Despite being open for 5 years, we hadn't visited. This is probably the best food and service I've experienced in the town.

The food was superb - innovative, fresh, simple yet sophisticated, and all superb quality. From pica pica to postres, everything was totally spot on. Just excellence.

Highly recommend anchovies, beet hummus, aubergine, smoked cod, ribs, leeks, and cannelloni. The desserts too - panna cotta, chocolate cheeecake, and .... the blackberry foam gin.

The service is the same with friendly, lovely staff, willing to recommend and engage. Wine was great too.

Excellent food. We’ve been to a few highly rated places in Sant Cugat according to google reviews and this is the best so far. Great food and creativity.

The only downside is that we come from the USA and didn’t have time to learn Catalán. We can speak Spanish and English but for some reason they didn’t want to support those two languages. If you cant speak Catalán and or aren’t at least a native speaker of Spanish you will either need to skip this wonderful foodie heaven or just guess and point at the menu like a monkey picking stocks on...

Mi mujer me invito a cenar el día 19 de abril del 2023 a un restaurante en San Cugat, y puedo decir que fue una pasada. Desde que llamé para reservar la atención recibida al teléfono fue muy correcta, al llegar nos encontramos con un lugar muy bonito con su musikita y súper limpio, la verdad, pero lo mejor estaba por llegar. Apareció un camarero con gafas muy agradable el cual al ver que yo hablaba castellano me hablaba en castellano y a mi mujer catalana en catalán, 1er punto a favor. 2do se sabía la carta a la perfección de todos los platos y como estaban hechos y que llevaban. 3ro los platos muy bien presentados, 4to el sabor de la comida fue un lujo, todo delicioso las croquetas tremendas, el foie con anguila ahumada y carpaccio de manzana verde una locura, seguimos con el humus de guisantes una explosión de sabor y por el último steack tartar tope de rico sin exceso de picante . Y el postre tremendo. Puedo decir que no encontré un solo fallo . Ni una mínima cosa para poder decir mira un fallo . Todo espectacular, tanto el chico de gafas como la chica que era súper agradable . 10/10 súper recomendable y volveremos más de una vez ....
