Om Sweet Home - Sabores Naturales Restaurant — Restaurant in Sant Joan de Labritja

We came here because of the 5-Star review and were in shock that it could have 5-Stars - so we wanted to share this review to help others make a better choice.

The food is super basic and a ripoff for the price. We ordered a ravioli (5 pieces - not bad but nothing interesting) a salad (I could have bought it from Aldi) and ‘a pizza’ (we got given a tiny slice on a side plate).

When we came to pay our 55Euro bill we were told we could only pay by cash. When the waitress saw our faces she said ‘oh you didn’t see? It’s on the menu and the black board outside’ like it was our fault.

And just for reference and to share the hilarity. The menu is in Spanglish, written in pencil and squashed onto a flip book that you have to turn around each time to try and read. I had to ask the waitress for recommendations for everything because it was impossible to understand- a problem I never have.

Lastly, the staff - all of them were preoccupied with a crying baby that they kept carrying inside and outside. The waitress was miserable, didn’t even ask if we were enjoying our food. And she had a table of friends shouting the house down.

By chance we booked a table at Giri Cafe for dinner, which we had no clue was just across the street and omg, night and day. Everything is divine. Organic produce done properly. I have no affiliation with for either place. But don’t waste your money at the circus cafe...

I cannot fault this place. We came here two years previous and despite being on the other side of the island, we had to drive up to taste the ravioli again. It didn’t disappoint! The best pasta I have ever had in my life. Everything is handmade and you can tell. The waitress was friendly and accommodating, giving us recommendations for things to try, which included homemade limoncello and fig pie, which were both excellent. The atmosphere is lovely, a really chilled vibe. It’s cash only but this is not an issue at all, considering the bank is directly opposite and quite literally a few steps away. Amazing food!!! Truly delicious - home made with amazing taste! But the staff is not always friendly … I understand when it’s busy and hectic, things might need more time, which is really fine! I think most of people can understand and see it!
