We came to Blue Marlin for an early dinner on a Sunday around 4:30 PM before heading to the club, and wow—such a vibe! The setup is amazing: there’s a beach section with daybeds where you could easily spend the entire day, a restaurant area, and a DJ booth with a sectioned-off VIP lounge nearby. The whole atmosphere felt classy, beachy, chill yet still popping—exactly what you’d expect from an Ibiza hotspot. The cocktails were great, and the sushi and caviar menu added a luxe touch. Yes, the sushi is steeply priced (about 6 pieces per roll), but you’re really paying for the experience, and given Ibiza is a seasonal spot, it makes sense. We loved the black tuna roll so much that we ordered it twice. Our group of 9 mainly focused on drinks and shared some food, and the bill came to about $48 per person. For the quality of drinks, food, and unbeatable vibe, it felt more than fair. The DJ kept the energy high, and the wind blasts during the set made it even more fun. I’d definitely come back again—next time I’d love to try the beach daybeds and stay through the evening for the full DJ set. Highly recommend Blue Marlin if you’re in Ibiza! Also, to the people who put 1 star reviews due to the lack of taxis outside of the restaurant - first of all, transportation to and from an establishment is the individual's responsibility. Make sure you arrange your rides! We hired a car service and also got taxi driver cards as we did our research and we knew how hard it can be to get a taxi at certain hours of peak time. It is not the restaurant's responsibility or their fault if you cannot get a ride after eating at the restaurant.

YOU CANT SWIM, there is only a pier, you can jump off but its difficult to get back on, there are metal steps sometimes but they take them away with the tiniest waves, the beach is with BIG AND SHARP STONES AND LOTS OF SEAWEED. THERE IS NO SWIMMING POOL, there are two showers, BUT ONLY 1 SHOWER WORKS FOR ENTIRE CLUB. ONLY 1 UMBRELLA PER VIP BED (which has 3 people as capacity)! SO ONLY 1 PERSON CAN BE IN SHADE, or two half. THere are NO BIG BOTTLES OF WATER, their big ones are still small, so you’d be paying twice to stay somewhat hydrated whilst in sun and not being able to swim. TOILETS ARE DIRTY. STAFF gives big atittude, when we were practically begging for an extra umbrella for our 400€ vip bed, our argument was that if there were no acces to swim in the ocean, at least we wanted full shade, the staff started arguing fullon that they obviously cant close the beach and if you want you can still go and swim etc. (while the pier was closed with a sign!). When we ordered sangria de cava, we asked for it to be less sweet, but it was super super sweet, when asked for some lemon and mint for water, they forgot entirely. OVERALL OVERPRICED FOR WHAT IT IS.. DIRTY, POOR SERVICE AND FACILITIES. For people who who want to be seen or are looking for a date, otherwise not for families to enjoy. We are dutch and are just looking for good price/quality ratio and service, so if you are not into hyped up disappointments, go to Nassau or Nikki beach clubs

This was my second visit to Blue Marlin this time with my partner. I booked two single day beds to recuperate after a long day at Ushuaia the day before. The staff were very welcoming and we were shown to our beds right at the front facing the sea with beautiful views (bonus points). Our waiter for the day was “Danny” he was attentive and efficient zero complaints about the service. It was a scorching hot day but the sea was clear and cooling with access from a wooden jetty/steps. The food was 5 star we ordered the 40pc sushi platter it was a work of art not to mention tasting fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed appropriate music choice, sound levels were on point, with a live DJ later. The other guests all friendly and happy to chat obviously enjoying their days too. Expensive yes but it’s Ibiza and you get what you pay for a quality day, very happy to settle the bill and tip appropriately. Thank you Blue Marlin I will be back.

Overall enjoyable, but food was slightly underwhelming for the price.

Food was good. I had the Tempura Tiger prawns to start. The prawns themselves were cooked perfectly however the Tempura was a bit doughy and undercooked in places. Great flavours but did expect slightly better quality control for 25€.

We had some sushi in-between and this was the best part. Good selection of sushi and stunning sashimi all prepared by sushi chefs in a dedicated sushi kitchen. A little on the expensive side for the portion sizes but I feel that was made up for by the quality of the sushi. It was excellent.

The main: I went for the lobster spaghetti. This was ok. The spaghetti was perfectly Al dente but the sauce that surrounded it was fairly dry, bland and uninspiring. The freshness of the cherry tomatoes on the plate was suoerb - don't get anything like that in the UK!. Don't think there was enough lobster on my plate for a dish that cost me €39 either especially considering a very similar linguine dish without lobster went for around €22. (the lobster was very nice however). All in all fairly mediocre.

Drinks were nice. Good beer, white sangria and rosé (can't remember the one we had in particular but it was pretty good).

Didn't do a dessert but went straight onto coffee which was bloody delicious (even if it was bog standard Lavazza - I couldn't complain!)

The music throughout the day was excellent (I guess thats what you pay for). It was Marlins 'Shadow' party which went on all evening. Started off with chilled deep house, moving onto some slightly heavier techno/trance and then finally onto a big finisher tech house set. Everything was mixed perfectly, but I do feel like the energy levels could have risen a bit earlier on.

The location of course is stunning and the decor is decent. The reception feels a bit blank and run down but I guess that's not the point of a beach bar. Well positioned tables, decent access for the staff.

Speaking of staff the service was overall very good. Food and drink came out quickly although one member of staff wasn't very happy that we wanted to order our starters and mains separately - his attitude was pretty poor. I was also accused of taking photos of a 'high profile customer' even though I had no idea where this 'high profile customer' was hence why I never took any photos in the first place.

I do feel there is a bit of a heirarchy here and yes, people spending more money are going to get more attention but staff should treat every guest with the same level of priority and respect.

Of course it's a pretentious place so people pay a premium to be there. There are lots of people sitting around in their private booths with a ludicrously expensive bottle of Dom Perignon just showing off but hey, its their money! If your not into that sort of thing then I doubt you'll be impressed.

Overall, the food was decent (there is definitely better on the island for less money if it's just the food you're interested in) but the music was awesome! Overall a good experience - wouldn't rush back but definitely...

Pretty awful experience to be quite honest. We booked Blue Marlin again after enjoying the food last year and remembered how IMPOSSIBLE it is to get a taxi after your meal. No SERIOUSLY, you could be there for anywhere from 45 mins - 2 hours. Food was really lovely, stunning plating & our server was really sweet and attentive which was nice considering how busy it is!!! BUT and unfortunately, it is a very big BUT. DEFINITELY will not be returning no matter how great the food was. My friend and I had PRE booked a taxi on our app before even paying the bill and left our table when our taxi was 4 mins away. As expected there was a massive queue. Our taxi pulled up and as we went to get in we were physically stopped from getting to our taxi, talking to our driver or anything because apparently “there’s a queue and we have to wait our turn” they refused to listen to the fact we had pre booked and put OTHER PEOPLE IN OUR TAXI!!!!!!!!!! We couldn’t then book another one as someone was in our taxi. So we were stuck. I tried to speak to the women at the reception desk. AWFUL. No matter how gentle, patient or polite I was about the situation, they were abrupt, abrasive and extremely dismissive. Like nothing I have ever seen. While speaking to the staff I was told that If it was pre booked we should’ve told the man who stopped us to “f off” which I thought was ridiculous. Seriously. Totally not in my character and I wouldn’t dream of verbally abusing staff or even speaking in the tone in which most of them took with me. I’d briefly spoken to a gentleman (who I later found out was the manager) who was really fair, apologised for the inconvenience and said the next taxi was ours….. Of course, we were waiting for AT LEAST 50 mins. No taxis coming. I was extremely upset by the end after being offered taxis for almost 4x the price of my original €22 taxi. I asked to speak to the manager, the lovely man from before and he covered our taxi fare. I really appreciated the way in which he dealt with us and he was about the only person that had any time or warmth to him. The other staff were totally above their station. Unfortunately, will not be returning. If you don’t want to be waiting for hours on what may be your last night… I suggest you have your own car or DEFINITELY make...

I am writing this complaint to express my extreme disappointment and utter dissatisfaction with the treatment my group and I received from one of your employees during our recent visit to Blue Marlin Ibiza. The purpose of this complaint is to bring to your attention the deplorable conduct exhibited by your staff member, which has left us feeling disrespected and deeply frustrated.

On 2nd of July, my friends and I visited your establishment and purchased a bottle from the bar. Prior to taking the bottle to the beach area, we sought confirmation from the bartender regarding the permissibility of doing so. We were explicitly informed that it was indeed acceptable to take the bottle with us anywhere on the premises.

As we were enjoying our day on the beach, occupying a set of unoccupied beds, we were abruptly approached by a member of your staff. His approach was unprofessional and disrespectful from the very beginning. Instead of addressing us politely and courteously, he adopted an aggressive and confrontational demeanor, demanding that we pay for the beds immediately or face expulsion from the area.

The employee in question neither acknowledged the fact that the beds were unmarked or designated nor offered any explanation for the sudden demand for payment. His behavior was not only rude but also displayed an unwarranted level of arrogance that was both shocking and uncalled for. He said few times that he wanted us to go to the rocks.

This encounter not only marred our experience at Blue Marlin Ibiza but also tarnished the reputation of your establishment. We were left feeling humiliated and disrespected by this employee's unwarranted behavior. It is important to note that we had followed the instructions provided by the bartender, and therefore, his subsequent actions were entirely unjustified and uncalled for. We strongly believe that no customer should be subjected to such treatment when they are patronizing your establishment.

As paying customers, we expect a certain level of professionalism, courtesy, and respect from your staff. It is evident that the employee in question failed to meet these basic expectations, and as a result, I demand that immediate action be taken to rectify this matter. I kindly request that appropriate measures be taken...
