What a dining experience. Everything about Destino had a wonderful charm.
The bread and aioli was lovely and disappeared quickly. We were encouraged to set aside our phones and step up to the front to choose each dish, guided by the owner’s warm descriptions. The recommendations were spot on. The lamb tagine with the lentils was perfect. The octopus tasted like a real home cooked dish. The cauliflower and broccoli gratin was everything we needed. The seaweed salad was a real surprise. And the desserts were so good. The pistachio cheesecake was a standout.
When we arrived, we learned it was their penultimate evening before the off-season. As soon as we finished our meal, we eagerly booked a spot for their final day. And what a last day it was! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the food was exceptional all over again.
The staff are so lovely, warm and kind. There is a real buzz and passion here and it's infectious. Everyone is smiling, and the food is amazing. As a customer, you can't help but to just feel good here. We have never left a restaurant feeling so connected that you hug the staff goodbye, but that’s exactly how we felt at Destino’s final celebration.
Thank you to everyone at Destino who has made our visits so special and given us...
Read moreI wanted to come here because the restaurant looks very cozy with a cozy terrace, and I heard the tapas here are very good. However the service is so unprofessional and rude, we didn’t even end up ordering. First we sat outside and only one other table was there, everything was free. We had to greet the waitress, not the other way around, and before we could ask anything we were rudely told to switch tables from a 4 top to a 2 top, which is fine, then I asked for a cola light and fanta limon. 5 minutes after we switched seats and ordered 2 drinks one waitress shouted to another - bring them a fanta orange and coke. Then a third waitress came and told us we had to move seats again so we got up said no thank you and left.
Unfortunately, I will never get to taste the highly recommended food.
If you want awful service and to wait forever, I recommend this place. I also advise the owner of this tapas bar to hire all new staff because they will make him/her go out...
Read moresaw this bar as a suggestion on google, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was cute and seemed nice. upon entering I saw a free table and went to stand next to it. Before sitting down the waiter/host started shouting at my stating I can't just grab a seat I need to ask permission. So I did and went to wait inside. I asked our local friend if the rice on display was local to the area. The same Waiter / Host intruded into our conversation and started shouting at me saying "Its just right" multiple time, not giving me a chance to explain the origin of my question. He continued to ask me if I don't speak english (which is my mother tongue), all while shouting at me. He threw very invasive hand gestures, to the point where the couple behind him started stairing in shock. I walked out in tears before I could order anything. I went to the restaurant up the street that - friendly staff and...
