Normally i never write really bad reviews, My followers on Tripadvisor can vowe for that, but after having lunch at Pizzico di pepe, i felt so mistreated and disgusted i can't keep quiet, and i feel it's my obligation to warn other people not to fall for this awfull tourist trap, and extremely rude staff. So what happened, upon driving through the lovely town of Sant Josep, we decided to stop here for an early lunch before going to the beach. We should have known better already when we sat down, no one to greet us or bring us the menu. We had to go inside where we stumbled upon a couple of ladies who where changing a diaper on a baby in the middle of the restaurant, we should have left right then, but being hungry and in a good holiday mood we decided to give it a second chance, so when we finally got to order , risotto alfungi, and got our food , we noticed right away that it was extremely salty and not tasty at all, but to make things worse my partner found a black hair in his food. First of all the risotto was definitely not homemade, but obviously from the deepfreezer kind straight from the supermarket, it was so salty it was unedible, so when we asked the waitress/ chef/ diaperchanger, she got really angry and she said she saw us adding the salt ourselves, which was obviously not true, and the hair was probably ours, which was very unlikely because the hair was black and we are both blond. To make a long story short , we left the food, paid for it, because she was in a very bad mood and did not offer a solution, in the end we left the restaurant screaming, completely upset, and traumatized, feeling we had ended up in some bad italian movie, We felt awful and abused, but the worse thing is every time we drive past this place we have to think about what happened there, and we still can't believe it, the worst restaurant experience ever, anywhere in...
Read moreAn extremely distressing experience to have at a restaurant for absolutely no reason. I am beyond myself how can something like this can happen in any industry and go unattended.
We often dine at Pizzico di Pepe and never had this type of treatment before. We apologize in advance on having to write this via this channel but there is a must action on their management and ownership that needs immediate attention and needs to be addressed right away. We just had an extremely unpleasant experience with one of their servers. Not only was the server rude but she also went on to reprimanding us because of seating at a wrong table by mistake. Quite harsh and disrespectful on their part from a customer that dines at their establishment often, lives in the neighborhood and is always on their side. All they needed to do was ask us to move and we would have attended to their needs without the disrespect and zero hesitation. Not only the server’s interaction was extremely out of line and uncalled for but to make matters worse, she went on onto grabbing my face in an attempt to emphasize her point, completely inappropriate and disrespectful. Unreal to be honest. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any circumstance and it will always overshadow what was always a great enjoyable meal at a place that we liked to locally support. I truly hope that management addresses this issue on their end so that other customers do not have to endure such treatment from such a disrespectful individual. Honestly it is incredibly disappointing and hope that the message goes across...
Read moreDecided to stop off on the way to the sunset view point with the intention of getting takeaway, however the lovely lady told us it might be a while so we instead opted to come after the sunset and as promised she had kept a table for us. The food was lovely, everything so tasty and the restaurant so clean. I'm glad we sat in to take our time and enjoy. The lady from Slovakia was so helpful, beautifully kind and welcoming. Highly recommend anyone stop...
