Pastelería Gilda — Restaurant in Sant Lluís

Stumbled across this bakery whilst on holiday in Menorca, only searched on Google to see what others thought and the theme seems to be remarkably consistent. We ordered 2 slices of chocolate cake that looked okay, but nothing special. None of the cakes were priced and admittedly, we should have asked. My jaw genuinely dropped when 13€ appeared on the cash register, you wouldn't even pay that price for 2 slices of cake in the centre of London where we are from. It feels awful to say that we refused to pay that and left without the cakes, but 6.50€ for a slice of average looking cake is...

Entré por la puerta de atrás preguntando sobre bocadillos, la chica que atendía me dijo por la otra puerta, salí sin saber muy bien qué puerta, y cuando volví a entrar me dijo la que estaba literalmente contigua al espacio. No entendí muy bien su forma de atenderme. Pedí un pincho de tortilla (el cual me parece 6€ carísimo) y la chica me dijo un precio más alto del que era en realidad. Le pregunté sobre el tamaño y no me dijo nada, parecía que le costaba hasta hablar, cuando le decía gracias no me decía nada ni hasta luego. Iba con una lentitud tremenda y se le notaba en la cara que no era feliz ahí. Al menos el que parecía el encargado del patio en ese momento era amable y el pincho estaba bueno.

Pero siento decir que no recomendaría este lugar, al menos la parte de pastelería. Ojalá contraten a personas que son felices y agradables haciendo...
