Pleasant and engaging alfresco evening dining for a romantic dinner. Menus available in multiple languages. Meat croquettes were lovely although they were not served with any sauce which I must say is odd given we have had a form of croquette on each meal of this trip and each has had a sauce offering, from tomato marmalade to an aioli or garlic sauce. Food would’ve been a 5/5 but no sauce. The Prawn spaghetti was also a solid choice for dinner and we enjoyed this followed by a shared chocolate crepe. The service was predictable. The older woman who was clearly in charge, was bluntly, almost disinterested, when asked whether a table for 2 might be arranged, perhaps this is just the “direct” European hospitality you hear about. The younger people she had running around doing her bidding were all doing a great job and helped...
Read moreIt's the most obvious place in town being situated right on the street in a commanding position. Also, they've a lot of young staff carrying out drinks and food etc most of whom speak good English. But it does get busy because of where it is and its food quality can vary enormously dish to dish. I quite liked the street location, and if you like watching the world go by as you eat it's the place for you. Classy joint it isn't. However, if you see the size of the kitchen, it makes you wonder how on earth can they serve as many people as they do in an evening. On one visit, we spent a jolly afternoon watching Spain lose in the World Cup and given that the bulk of the customers were Spanish, you can imagine the event. We did eat there one evening - mixed fish platter and mixed croquettes - OK but nothing special. But their...
Read moreOut of the 2 weeks being here this was the worst restaurant we visited. Food was mediocre but the service is absolutely awful, there are one or two waiters that were friendly but the rest are very rude, throwing your dinner on the table not even in front of the person that ordered it, I had mussels and they threw the plate of mussels down my end of the table (not in front of me) but the bowl for the shells down the opposite end. They also put a bottle of wine in a chiller right behind the chair of a 7 year which would have got knocked straight over once he got up (which kids do) if we hadn’t have moved it. This place is clearly just getting by on the fact that the area is a tourist trap so they don’t have to worry about...
