El Tinglado de Casa'Ma — Restaurant in Santa Úrsula

Found this place by chance, and it is a little gem. Its a preserved old shop with a restaurant front, of what was once an old proprietor's home - and you feel at home here. The head waiter was very friendly and helpful, guiding us to the best dishes for us based on our preferences. Some of the best food we've had. We had cod croquettes which were enjoyed by all - even those who aren't otherwise fish lovers. Cod with a delicious sauce and amazing selection of fried vegetables. Pork sirloin tips with vegetables and incredibly tender potatoes and sweet potatoes - the pork was cooked just perfectly, and had great flavour.

This is a place worth going out your way for to experience. If we are back in Tenerife, we will be back here again! Indeed, I'd go back to Teneife for El Tinglado!

We passed this place during our hiking trip from Puerto de la Cruz to Orotava in January 2021. Being thirsty and a little hungry, we asked the owner that we could have a drink. The owner was very polite and invited us inside to show us what kind of beers he had... . The place looks very cozy inside, but we had to sit outside because of covid restrictions.
