We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here.
The highlight for me was the house wine and the calamari, squid, and prawns with sweet potatoes - WE ALL LOVED THIS DISH! It was rich and perfectly cooked.
Perhaps ask the waiter to explain the dishes before ordering - my dad and sister were a bit disappointed with their food but mainly because they expected something different. The rest of us (5/7) loved it!
My one critic - they served us bread we didn't ask for and then charged us for it - but perhaps this is more of a cultural difference.
The experience felt authentic and the waiter was extremely accomodating and friendly. Ambiance was great and despite being quite busy, the tables feel very private.

Read moreWow. What a wonderful discovery. Looking for a decent local restaurant that’s not touristy but has nice touches like the specials translated into English. The food was sublime, the buratta and pastrami salad was one of the nicest things I’ve eaten ever and the steak to follow was sooo delicious. My daughters, who sometimes struggle in many local places, had the pork steak and loved it. My wife had one of her favourite dishes, the pork cheek, and also was impressed. The service was attentive without being over bearing and my wife remarked we’d been very well looked after throughout. May have to break the don’t eat anywhere twice on holiday rule...
Read moreLovely place to have a lunch. My dish was not to my liking, still tasty though. Others in my group were impressed with their selection, so I suppose it depends on the person. Note - we received some rolls with different butters, without asking and were charged for it in the end. Most restaurants I have visited provide it free of charge whilst waiting for your main courses, about 1,75 per person. Not a lot but I would like to know...
