Villas La Quinta — Hotel in Santa Úrsula

A very peaceful location. We got lovely hot, sunny weather and found the Villa was a perfect place to chill and unwind. You occasionally hear local dogs barking as everyone around seems to own dogs and leave them in the garden from early morning, but it's not a constant issue and no reflection on the Villa. The Villa itself is very impressive (see pics). We did have a WiFi problem, but the gentleman we met to collect keys sorted that quickly. This ensured our teenage children could stay online and that we could use the Amazon Fire stick we took with us to keep up with our local news and watch something in the evening if we wanted to. There is a local shop and bar within walking distance (20 mins walk) and a Lidl supermarket 10 mins away by car which is ideal for a 'big shop'. You really do need a car to get around as bar some nice walks along the coastline nearby there is little to do otherwise. (We saw that as a plus as we wanted to chill and relax). It's also quite hilly, so any walk is a little bit of a workout. Did consider 4 stars rather than 5 due to location, which I think could put some people off, but for us it was a positive (being quieter) so marked it as five. The only negative was that the pool looked very inviting but even with mid 20's sunshine it was far too cold to use as it wasn't heated. Again, that may be a negative to some but none of us were bothered. Overall the gentleman looking after the Villa was very helpful and accommodating. The Villa was lovely and very well equipped and presented - just make sure you have a car to shop...

We have just returned from a week here. The Villa was amazing! The views are spectacular, especially from the balcony off the master bedroom. I have loved sitting there with coffee each morning looking out at Mount Teide to one side and the sea the other. There is plenty of space for children to play. Timothy, who manages the villas is incredible helpful, and can be there promptly if there is a problem (ours was minor - toaster wasn’t working, a replacement was provided immediately).

The location is great if you are looking for somewhere that has local amenities but is quiet. This was perfect for us. There is a bar/restaurant within walking distance which we enjoyed, and a small shop. For bigger shops there is a Lidl within 10 mins drive. A car is essential for getting out and about.
