Cafe La Sifonería — Restaurant in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

We stayed in Santa Cruz de Tenerife for 4 months and this was one of our favorite places to hang out. Staff is friendly and the prices are great. Local beer and wine reasonably priced and the location is very close to the promenade running along the ocean.

However, as you can see from the photo the layered fries is second to none. The picture doesn't convey how delicious it is. Not only is it a towering plate of indulgence, it is delicious. Dare I say it's a improvement on our beloved Poutine from Montreal.

It's just a loud, noisy bar that sells indigestion on a platter. They especialize in 'Papas Locas' which is a delightful meal thought for a group of friends. They often involve meat, chicken, sausages, cheese, at least 3-4 sauces and, of course, a massive amount of fresh-out-of-the-frozen-bag fries.

I went there, had their most famous pick only to discover that each ingridient almost perfectly balanced out the others, making almost no impact.

If you're looking for a healthy dining option, then this might not be the place for you. However, if you're in the mood for some delicious fast food, then I highly recommend giving this place a try. The restaurant is particularly famous for its enormous "papas locas" that come in a variety of flavors, but the "La Sifoneria" flavor is just incredible. Another great aspect of this restaurant is that it is quite affordable, and the ordering process is very fast. Overall, if you're in the mood for some satisfying fast food in Tenerife, then this place is definitely worth...
